crappy. another columbus rip off trying to look like it's been around for years but hasn't. how about something original? and the pizza sucks.

stick with the places that they tried to copy and you'll feel better about yourself in the end. and can we put the gastropub to bed? what is it anyway?

won't be back.

while our party enjoyed the dollar pretzels and the pork nachos i found the lack of beer knowledge upsetting. otherwise the service was good and the food tasty.

and then there’s chicken and waffles. the tavern bakes their chicken instead of frying it, then serves it with a decent belgian waffle, maple syrup, and a big bowl of buffalo sauce. with the baked chicken, it’s one of the healthier variations of chicken and waffles around town, and like the rest of the brunch, it’s well worth checking out.

the reality is the food is pretty decent (especially late) with a great selection of beer on tap. the flip side is the service...there is one particular server who is insufferably abrupt and rude...from smacking plates down on the table...to vanishing...to being abrasive, she has been unpleasant each time. we have started to forego the tavern on the basis of the server to go to yellow brick.

this is of the happiest new-ish places in columbus. kind and wonderful owners, a friendly and talented staff, and a local and diverse clientele make this spot a winner for people watching and just relaxing. i've run into fellow restaurant industry folks, local rockers, and the mayor and his cabinet here. the food is really solid and tasty, it's one of my favorite lunch spots. cocktails are dangerous here, beer selection is always on point, and the patio is one of the best in town. columbus is fortunate to have a business willing to open up in an emerging and challenging retail district; they've done great things for ote and provided a fun, safe place to go before/after visiting their wonderful neighbors to the east and across the street. lunch, dinner, late night, this is a warm, vibrant, and wonderful place for a cocktail, snack, or meal.

the tavern’s menu centers around appetizers, salads, pizza, and sandwiches. the appetizer menu has standard fare-quesadillas, nachos, wings, sliders, mozzarella. i haven’t tried all of the appetizers, but what i have tried was all quite good. the wings come bone-in in with either bbq or buffalo sauce. the nachos are served just as i like them, on a giant plate that’s stacked at least 6 inches high. hey, if i’m having nachos, i want some nachos.

a perfect addition to the neighborhood. everything on the menu is delicious, and that is not an exaggeration. the staff is friendly and helpful, they always have great music playing, and the draft list is stellar.

great addition to ote. have been waiting for a place like this, close by, for a while now. the environment is wonderful....like an old time tavern with stamped tin ceilings and a great bar.
the food is phenomemal....bar food for sure but up quite a few notches. all the sandwhiches are great and hefty portions. the hummos is some of the best i've had.
friendly, welcoming bunch. my new neighborhood haunt.

would like to like this place. very loud. would really like this place, but the food leave a lot to be desired. first the sangria is the wine with soda, not really sangria, yuck. lays crinkle cut potato chips with sandwiches, not really something that should be served. greek appetizer, pasta served with pita? both the hummus and yogurt dip very lame. mexican appy was better, with good solid dips. best apply was pretzel by far a must order. as for sandwiches, pretty average, with nothing to write home about. this is a bar with food as an afterthought. nothing wrong with that as long as you get it before going in.
