amazing service! everyone is super friendly here, you can tell they really love their job! coffee cup was never low, food took no time at all to come out, food was awesome! we will be back and will definitely recommend for others to check it out!

impressive. brought a friend from out-of-town here because i wanted to show him the best breakfast spot that the metroplex has to offer. he had their one pancake offering with patty sausage. he was pleasantly surprised at the size of the pancake. in fact our server talked him out of the two pancake offering thinking that it would have been to much since he wasn't starved. i had the clodhopper which was new to the updated menu. it was three eggs with two sizable portions of grilled sausages and three humongous pieces of toasted sourdough bread. never ever had a bad meal here. service is always great. coffee is overflowing. we got there thirty minutes before they closed and got a table immediately. they did not rush us either. can't say enough good things about old west cafe! my friend was impressed and wants to go again before he leaves. how can i say no as i love them as well!

superlatives. i knew this was a favorite before i even ate here. why? because i've been to the other five and they are all favorites. too many superlatives to count. best servers. best breakfasts. best prices. the menus are enormous. sort of like the cheesecake factory and they all have special names for the combinations. the servers are very helpful and will help you find exactly what you are looking for. they have french toast, mexican specialties, pancakes, and the basics, eggs and bacon etc. you can also order a la carte but it seems they have a combination that encompasses just about everything.

i had the madre's migas which came with fried potatoes, refried beans, tortillas and salsa. it was tremendous in flavor and size. i hate to say it but their migas may be better than esperanza's and that is mighty praiseworthy. i'm skipping lunch today, and probably will have only an apple and a small salad for dinner, if anything.

this place is the jewel of the old west cafe's. it has three dining rooms, one being a room for groups or overflow. all rooms are decorated in tongue-in-cheek style with silly and humorous signs, but also in keeping with the western atmosphere. this cafe in arlington is my favorite for it's western swagger. yesiree! this one's an instant favorite for so many reasons!

pretty dang good. had the biscuits n gravy and a breakfast quesadilla, those were the best biscuits i think i have ever tasted. light and fluffy but not floury, the gravy tasted real and the sausage was a home run. my husband said his quesadilla hit the mark and then some. the atmosphere is not to my liking for breakfast, it is open and bright and noisy cause there are so many people in there enjoying their breakfast. i am more of a slow waker and prefer quiet and slow when trying to get my eyes open. tad on the pricy side, $26 for two people but the food is well worth it, it taste just that dang good.

noisy very noisy. food is okay, staff is okay. the open ceiling and bare walls make having a conversation impossible.

i was so excited when i discovered they were building a location in arlington. what a disappointment. at first i thought it was new store issues working themselves out. now i know that this place has just grown too much for quality control. worse, the food is not the same as it used to be. it seems they are taking pre-made short cuts in places they didn't think guests would notice. today was the last time i will come here. maybe i will go up to the one in pilot point next time i'm up there, but between the bad service, the cold coffee (tried three times to get a hot cup), the cold sub-par food, this place just isn't worth the price.

first off, these statements pertain to breakfast only, have not been here for lunch time. atmosphere is just what you would expect. there is a lot to keep your attention too while waiting to be served. the food is excellent in flavor size and price. this is one of the first places where, when one claims to have "texas" size dishes, it actually holds up to its claims. the service was a little above average. definitely not bad, but isn't something i'd go out of my way to get others to try. all together, i'd recommend this place to others when it comes to breakfast.

good food. service could use some help. large helpings. lots to read while waiting. we will come back for some variety for breakfast. not enough places in area.

large menu selection! food was delicious and fresh! the service was just meh... came at 10:30am on veterans day and samantha wasn't very attentive. luckily, we're laid back. i definitely recommend it though because the food quality is great!!!

i highly recommend going to the old west café! great food, large portions & friendly service!!! the atmosphere is very friendly, fun & it takes you back to the old west in a modern way! ☺

we both agree, this place served us one of the best breakfasts my husband & i have ever eaten. he ordered a panhandler and i ordered the cattle baron with a chocolate chip pancake on the side. i didn't realize the pancake was so big, but should've known as a visitor to the "everything is bigger" state. my only complaint is not being able to eat it all, because it was delicious!

breakfast. first time for breakfast. had an omelet with hash browns and rye toast. wife had the one egg, sausage, wheat toast and fruit. both breakfasts were excellent.
service was prompt and friendly. will be back for sure.
maybe lunch next time.

bad service,bad food,and to pricey. we were a party of 8 that went on a sunday morning early enough to miss the church rush.the place was about 1/3rd full and we waited 30 minutes to de seated. 5 or 6 parties of 4 were seated ahead of us. i asked why they didn't put 2 tables together for us.i was told they needed to clean the table for 8 then we could be seated.the food was as good as the service poor. i live less than a half mile from them at lake arlington and when asked about old west café i say to the golden arches for better service,better food,and better price.

good food, fine service, but the decor is atrocious. from the outside it looks like any generic cafe, but once you get inside it is dark and gloomy. the decor is simply atrocious. the food was good, standard breakfast fare at a slightly elevated price (especially considering the ambience). quick, thorough service; no complaints. the french toast is where it is at, different than the standard at any other breakfast joint nearby. plenty of man friendly breakfast options. but damn, i just can't get past the way the place feels, so depressing.

excellent breakfast, fast service, awesome coffee. this was our first visit and won't be our last. it was fantastic, service, coffee, food, best breakfast we have had in years. will definitely return again tomorrow for more goodies. huge menu, friendly staff, very efficient service.
