best in newport. don't be deceived by the not too fancy exterior. the food is great as is the service. the chef came around to each table to make sure all enjoyed their food choices. we just happened on this place and will now place it at the top of our dining list. the portions were great! prices great! service was better than we have experienced on the coast no matter the price....

finding clear gluten-free options on the oregon coast wasn't as easy as expected.  this place had a review that they did have options and it is true.  they have a few dishes and were able to make substitutions where necessary, but make sure you know what might have gluten (e.g. wild rice) because they weren't initially aware.  pretty good meal for both gf and non-gf but pricey.  unless you get a simple salad or something deep fried plan to spend at least $25 per person.

very cute location and the food was pretty good but my issue was our server. i observed other servers and they seemed great but ours specifically was very inattentive and seemed like he didn't want to be serving us. other than that our experience was pretty good.
i got the popcorn shrimp which wasn't over fried and was very light and delicious, my mom got the rockfish and chips and that was delicious as well. we shared a cup of the clam chowder and it was amazing, probably the best i've ever had.
if it hadn't been for our specific server our experience would've been much better.

we ended up at this restaurant after departing a different restaurant in town due to horrible customer service, and wow what a win! my daughter is dictating this review and she loves everything about the place. the servers are kind, the food is amazing, the crayons are fun, and she wants to come back! the adults love it too, as the food is fresh, perfectly prepared, and reasonably priced. a new fave in newport!!

i had fish and chips with a lemonade, it was so fresh and delicious, also the plates came out really fast, that's nice.

the place is beautiful and the people was so kind with our kids and dog. recomended.

the black cod ceviche and clam chowder were excellent. we also had fish and chips (don't remember for sure but i think it was the rockfish). everything was very good and the prices were ok. right next door to rogue. so that was convenient.

must have those sea pups. excellent not heavy like other hush puppies. ps go have a beer at rogue right next door ahhhhyumm!!! also had ciopinno and clam chowder very good salmon special was good halibut picatta was fantastic!! would definitely come back!

my husband & i were happy with our visit for sure but it wasn't mind blowing. it's quaint and cozy. the waitstaff was very friendly & attentive. we had a crab cake for an appetizer which was very tasty but overpriced at $12 for a single cake. we also had razor clams & fish tacos which were both solid dishes, no complaints.

this is my go-to when heading over to newport! when i crave great seafood and service, i head to gino's. i got the days special which was the seared halibut with a shrimp pesto cream sauce, it was delectable. this place cares about their customers and i really believe the chef takes pride in serving some really great food! (especially the seafood.)
the waiter did bring us the wrong order but that doesn't count against my rating at all, as they were prompt about fixing it. we'll be back next time to see the new specials! never been displeased.

had there bbq tuna sandwich. it wasn't to bad. interesting to say the least. there house chips are pretty tasty and the coleslaw complemented everything nicely. i was there with my friends so i had also tried there calamari which was average. i can only eat so much friend food. then i always tried there chowder in the bread bowl which was good.

ate here last year and forgot to rate it.  was very good.  decor is rather plain, but that often makes for great food.  we got there just before they were closing, but was not a problem.  everything we had was so good--a true seafood restaurant, and reasonable prices.

yum! they know good seafood!. the chef actually cares about his cooking and his customers satisfaction! their specials are always on point. i know my seafood and am somewhat picky, and this place has never let me down! fresh oysters on the half shell, amazing halibut, delicious chowder, and the prawns are great too:) very satisfied customer.

exactly what we were looking for. fresh and delicious. generous portions. great service. we loved the popcorn shrimp, halibut fish and chips, and chowder.
