nono's cafe

biscuits and gravy... yum. went to nono's cafe for breakfast and it was excellent, i got the biscuits and gravy with eggs, my daugher-in-law got the nono's breakfastt burrito. both were excellent. now i have a new go-to place for a good breakfast.

nono to nono's. the guy who owns this place is a raving maniac. he managed to ruin not only my mother's day but pretty much everyone in his establishment! i have been going to nono's for years and have always loved their food. we had a reservation on mother's day at 12:15. we arrived around noon only to be told we might be able to get in by 12:30. this was fine with us and we were willing to wait. the owner came over to us a little before 12:30 and told us that 12:30 wasn't going to happen either. i simply stated that we made a reservation so we were ensured a table. my son had to go to work in the afternoon and this was going to cause him to be late. at that point the crazy owner just went off on me. he waived his finger right in my face and started yelling at me that is was mother's day and i needed to be patient. then he told us to "take a hike" and "go eat somewhere else if we didn't like it!" he went back up to the hostess stand where my son in law was waiting. he was un aware of what had just transpired so he told the owner that we had reservations. now the guy was really hot under the collar! he actually chest butted my son in law and started yelling at the top of his lungs. dropping the f bomb like crazy while there was a packed restaurant full of people including kids. he told us to get the hell out of his restaurant. told us to take a hike again and then proceeded to call the police on us! everyone in the restaurant was appauled and rightly so. the most ironic thing about this entire episode is that these people are self proclaimed christians! there is a bible verse etched on the steps to greet you as you enter. then if you look around the restaurant, there are picures and plaques implying that these are people of god. far from it!!!! this guy is out of control. the food is good but not good enough to put up with this kind of behavior!!!!

food is good but will never eat here again. we had a reservation this mothers day at 12:15. we waited for 20 minutes after we got there and then asked the owner how much longer it would be. he told my mom that it's gonna be longer and if we don't wanna wait then go eat somewhere else and not to give him attitude cause it's mothers day. my sisters boyfriend went to talk to him about his rudeness then he proceeded to chest bump him and was dropping the f bomb and telling us to hit the road and called the cops on us in front of a totally packed restaurant not to mention all of the kids. such a "christian environment".... this behavior should not be acceptable from any owner especially on mothers day! the situation could have totally been avoided if he just would've handled this professionally. well never ever go here again and don't recommend any of you coming! spend your money somewhere else and enjoy your night. good food is not worth the disrespect you'll get from this owner and his tacky toupee. i have never seen such disrespect from anyone at a restaurant it's not even worth your time to walk in the door.

omg! this place is awesome. crab augratin, boudin, beinets, grilled chops, nothing bad. a sexual experience. i'm going back!

first off $13 for a shrimp roll here is rediculous. just a hard roll at both ends with no shrimp at the ends and a ton of lettuce for bulk. mom had the gumbo ehich came as a pretty much solid mass. gumbo shouls be a little soupy. the service was good though.

no noes is a no no ordered the "debris" roast beef sandwich it looked and tasted like a fn 2 dollar tv dinner on a french roll by the way roll was the only thing edible . it was slices of roast beef with a thick brown gravy like i said i feel like they took a tv dinner and put it on a french roll fn sucked. the cooks need to go to new orleans and taste the food nonoes is garbage also i would be willing to bet they get their crawfish frozen from china@ if i could give a neg score i would. aaaaaaaeeeeeeee from a redneck cajun

awesome food. big group do i got to sample lots of good stuff!!! blackened ribeye, catfish with crawfish sauce, gooey cake, all super good. great service. i'll be back!!!

you guys this place kills it in every aspect imaginable . as we sat down we were greeted by nearly every staff member . not in a kiss ass kind of way but a very family oriented type of way . our waitress angela went above and beyond to answer questions before they were even asked . we started out with the crab au gratin, the bayou beignets, the crawfish corn chowder, and the house salad with spicy dressing. every single one of these items were outstanding . the bayou beignets are not to be missed out on !! some of my fellow foodies thought the crab au gratin could have been left without the cheese on top bc they thought it was rich enough . however, i beg to differ . for my entree i ordered the catfish monica . which was blackened catfish, and plenty of it btw with a creamy etouffee topping drizzled all over it .... i know i'm drooling too . we also had sides of the mac n cheese which was so cheesy and delicious. for dessert we ordered the bread pudding with ice cream (didn't try allergic to nuts) and the regular beignets . these beignets melt in your effing mouth . by far the best i've ever had . there was not one dish i tried that i did not like and we ordered a lot of food . if you want to get your tastebuds totally disoriented go here , you will not regret it !!!

owner has poor customer service. we have been a customer since 1996, brian the owner, came to our table and preached to my 7 year old son about him taking 1 business card, and telling my wife and i to teach him the value of money. we got up and he made us pay for our drinks and app, after he came to our table and disrupted our dinner rudely. my son was embarrass, like he did some wrong and made him tear up. sonia does a great job cooking, her husband is ruining the customer experience. will never go back!

great find.. i got the kickin chicken salad while my wife got the vegetarian shepherds pie. both were absolutely fantastic, the house dressing is spicy and delicious. the waitress even brought us half a dozen samples to help us decide what to order. great service and ambience.

ask for lance he is very knowledgeable and very easy on the eyes.

great food. had dinner at no no's with my wife and we both had crawfish monica. it was fabulous! the wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was homey. if you like cajun you can't beat no no's.

loved this place!. we are in denver for just a few weeks and noticed that this place is always busy. we stopped in for lunch on a saturday. i ordered the bayou burger which has gravy on it. it was so good! my husband ordered the monica smothered catfish. he said it was the best meal he has had in denver. we really enjoyed eating here. the service was good.

nono's cafe is a cajun cooking with a southern flare.  we were told by the hostess that the owners are from louisiana.  we ate here on a saturday afternoon. it is a very family friendly place.  on the weekends, you can have breakfast until 2 p.m.  the menu has so many different things to choose from and it was hard to make a decision. inside another inside photo i started my meal with a side salad.  i chose the house dressing which is a mix between ranch and garlic vinaigrette.  i wasn't really fond of the dressing.  the croutons were very spicy. i ordered the bayou burger.  here is the description from the menu: a great, quality burger grilled to your liking. served on a toasted kaiser roll, with shredded lettuce, covered with roast beef gravy, and topped with tomatoes, and our pickles and cajun island dressing. served with zapp's potato chips. bayou burger  i wondered how messy it would be with gravy on it, but the gravy was on the plate.  it was really good!
