go greek...once a week...at nomiki's!. i grew up in tarpon springs, florida so i know my greek food. it's hard to find a good tziki sauce and gyro meat that doesn't taste like it's from sysco. nomiki's has really good tziki sauce and the gyro meat rivals any restaurant at the sponge docks for sure!

they also had a dinner for two option which was not only excellent but affordable. for $20 you get an appetizer, two small greek salads, two entrees and a 1/2 karafe of wine. we added on a bowl of soup, two beers and a desert and we still paid less than $40!

plus, the service was excellent! very friendly...

unimpressed.. went in for lunch, when we asked for the beer selection our server proceeded to tell us that they had their easter party the night before and the employees drank all of the beer. wow. not to mention 1/4 of the menu items are scratched off in pen. also, the prices were all scratched out/written over. didn't get a chance to order, wanted felafel, unfortunately it was one of the scratched off things.

nomiki's plakka is a little art-filled authentic greek spot that we found while coming back from sanibel island. everything you expect from a classic greek restaurant is here at nomiki’s so if you don’t feel like going to the sponge docks in tarpon springs or can’t afford a trip to greece, then enjoying nomiki’s house-made specials and traditional greek dishes is a good place to start. from tiropitas, saganaki, hummus, and gyros, a small bite or nice lunch hit the spot. if you are really hungry then the souvlakia, dolmathes, pastisio, moussaka, lamb or octopus, will fill you right up.

nomiki's plakka greek restaurant, mcgregor blvd., ft. myers,fl., my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. the food. i order a greek salad of course with anchovies. i also tried what was called a greek chow mein??? never heard of it. i had it with pork. it had olives, cheese on top, tomatoes. it was fresh and good. i am a not big fan of greek food, but, i was a happy trooper. service and prices were just right.

a real gem of a greek restaurant. terrific food and service at a reasonable price. visited with family and enjoyed a consistently good selection of the menu offerings. portions were generous and meal was well timed with appetizers, salad and main courses perfectly spaced out. while the place could benefit from a thorough cleaning, food quality & taste were both excellent.

our favorite greek restaurant is nomiki's plakka, they have the best gyro in town. we have dined there several times in the last 15 months (we moved to cape coral march 2014) and it has been consistently delicious! we are looking forward to going back and ordering the saganaki (flaming greek cheese served with pita) for our appetizer next time. a table near us ordered it and it came out sizzling, then they light it on fire, looked amazing!

the first photo is the dolmathes, grape leaves filled with herb-ed beef and rice, topped with a tangy avgolemono sauce (mild lemon flavor). the next items are the greek dinner salad, gyro platter (open faced gyro, comes with the dinner salad for only $12.25, large portions!) and the last is the basic gyro with fries, the tomato and onions are served on the side ($8.95). everything was excellent, as always! i love their lamb/beef, great seasoning.

great greek food!!!!. i'm a greek food fanatic and found nomiki's on the internet when planning a trip to the ft. myers area of florida. me, my husband, and our two hosts from punta gorda, enjoyed a fabulous array of greek foods. i was in heaven! my husband and i live in rural nevada and as with most greek restaurants i've tried throughout the years, nomiki's did not disappoint. friendly service. the food was perfect. they provide a dip with pita to start you off and it was wonderful! definitely recommend nomiki's plakka to everyone!

best ever grape leaves (dolmathes). i love this place! we have been there a couple of dozen times now. i always get their dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves) with avgolemono sauce as they are so delicious - just as good as my grandparents used to make when i was little. the the meal does come with green beans, which i don't care for the way they are made - just not much flavor . i wish they would make them like my grandparents also (flavored with lamb) the meal comes with a greek salad with plenty of feta cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions and olives (which are really not too good) my fiance always get their lamb gyros - as he just loves them, as do i but just can't resist the dolmathes.

the restaurant itself is small and not fancy, but the staff is super, very friendly and efficient. i usually buy their groupon certificates, which is usually about half off the meal, so make it very reasonable.

they are closed on sunday in the summer. didn't get to try it, they were closed. wouldn't have minded if their current hours were posted here and on groupon.

great place!. i love nomikis! the staff are prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and great at what they do! the food is excellent and i love their gyro, tzatziki, lamb, and iced greek coffee! i wish they'd move to a bigger location and have better atmosphere, with belly dancers and napkins flying everywhere like the high end restaurants do (acropolis in ybor city, tampa).

never the less, nomikis is a great greek restaurant in fort myers and it is my go to place when i get my lamb craving. i have yet to have a bad experience here.
