this is a small restaurant with up and down dining areas. the lower area is small with 5, 4 top tables, upstairs there are a number more like 25. bathrooms are down a long stair case. recommend sparkling water, brand is very good. portion sizes are huge! and prices reasonable. food is authentic and i was very impress, so was my family , which grew up on homemade italian food. definitely recommend.

the service here was outstanding, always there when needed but not obtrusive at all, courses were served with perfect timing. very professional but friendly. food was perfectly cooked and served. calamari was excellent, nico salad very good, linguini vongole also very nice. an excellent small restaurant.

from our brief experience in little italy in boston, all of the restaurants are small. nonetheless, the food was amazing! the antipasti appetizer was large enough for an entrée with 3-4 different meats, at least 3 different cheeses, grapes, artichoke hearts, and olives. my friend and i were glad we shared! fortunately, our waiter took our appetizer order, brought it to us, and we ate it before ordering dinner so we decided to just share an entrée too. we were glad we did - it was a huge portion for more than just 1 of us and we wouldn't have been able to have leftovers since we were in a hotel. we had the swordfish special that was cooked and spiced to perfection! very tender and flavorful with a tube type of pasta. i would definitely return to this restaurant! we did make prior reservations and i highly recommend you do that for any restaurant in this area.

such a cool atmosphere & layout, really loved this place. i had the lobster ravioli which was simply amazing. i wish i remembered the name of our water because he was incredibly knowledgeable & friendly too. definitely one to try!

food was good but not great. calamari appetizer was great. caesar salad was very good. chicken marsala was fair- slightly tough. fra diavolo sauce was plain tasting with multiple large whole pieces of garlic. would try another place in area.

we had a great dining experience at nico last night. our waiter was terrific. not only was he professional, friendly, and welcoming (i felt like i was a dinner guest in his home), but he was also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. he was able to accommodate almost anything for us. nico is part of the varano group, which owns strega and strega waterfront. both have gluten free pasta everyday. nico, you must call a few days in advance, let them know you are coming, and voilà, they will have gluten free pasta ready for you! there’s a great groupon deal available! get it here . you can choose tow options $30 for $60 or $35 for $80. go for the $80, you will want it, especially if you have 3 or more people. we started with complimentary olives and the capesante al pesto appetizer. in english – pan seared deep sea scallops served over grilled baby eggplant and garnished with pine nuts and a pesto sauce. omg. to die for!! the scallops were huge and i just loved everything ab

decent food, fantastic service. we dined here last night thanks to a generous giltcity voucher. the space is bright and inviting, with windows opened to the street. the food that we got was just fine - excellent arancini with wild mushrooms, a really nice creamy burrata on a bed of rocket lettuce with fresh artichokes. the homemade pasta served with our main course was the highlight of the meal, i could have eaten an entire plateful of that exquisite fusilli. the accompanying veal parm was tender and pounded quite thin. so i give this place a thumbs up for the food, but would likely come back anyway just to enjoy the terrific warm hospitality of the staff. great recommendations on wine, guys!

food was pretty good. servers were attentive and accommodating. only drawback was that it was stifflingly hot in the restaurant to the point that three guys in the party had to remove their button up shirts (me included). fix the a/c and i will definitely be back.

just ate a fabulous dinner with jeff and jeb. from the moment we entered without reservation we were treated like family. best italian dinner and service five stars!

risotto should be made with a lot of love and attention, and you can tell that this one was. i would be excited to see what other risottos they have to offer!
