went for drinks today with a friend. good ambiance. quiet in the day, so makes for a great place for conversations and laughs in the sun. service was a little bit slow for a quiet afternoon, but they were so friendly :). need to experience their food to go higher on the rating.

i love cafes and i love rivonia! what could be a better combination? seriously tho, it's a lovely hub. this cafe is warm and inviting. i've had one bad experience where i found a cockroach in my food (how the heck does that get in there?!?) but the owners were real nice about it and gave me all my food free. the food is tasty, i'm vegetarian and it's nice that you can easily find anything to eat, and if you don't like what's on the menu, you can just ask the waiter to create something out of what you ask! love it!!

lovely place, food is really good quality. relax and non-pretentious atmosphere. the staff really look after their customers and know all of them by name. would highly recommend to anyone!

got served the best rump. not ideal if one can't enjoy a meal in a loud place but the food is amazing. the stir fry was well cooked and went in nicely with the rump and mushroom sauce

really nice chicken sandwich. a lot to choose from on the menu and can even text your order in for collection! would definitely go back again!

firm old school favourite! my school was just around the corner from the news cafe and we were in and out of the place like yoyos. the toast on its own is so delicious - thick and buttery. the sambos are great too. it is a real little gem of a place and the staff are just lovely.

the hidden gem of blackrock. food cooked to order with thick bread accompanied by a fresh hangover being handed to you for a reasonable price guarantees you will leave in a better state then when you arrived. really nice and helpful staff, highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch

for many (myself included) news cafe is the ultimate hangover cure. they do a great range of sandwiches and wraps, but their big club (blt on top of a grilled chicken sandwich) and breakfast club (bacon on top, sausage at the bottom, and french toast in the middle) sandwiches being among their best. never fails to do the trick! the same brand of goodness can also be found in the other branches, news cafe windy arbour and blt in cabinteely.

if you are ever hungover and in dire need of a feed news cafe will not disappoint. the pigs in a blanket sandwich with the batch bread is unreal. sound staff and good prices
