gotta have the newfie nachos. we're visiting family in ottawa, and my wife and i drove past here and decided to stop on a whim. we had the newfie nachos to start, and they were fantastic. my wife had the fish burger, and really enjoyed it, and i had the fisherman's platter. the platter was good. there was nothing out of the ordinary about the shrimp or scallops, but the cod was fantastic. i don't know what they put in their signature batter, but it really makes it an outstanding place to get fish and chips. will definitely recommend to friends and family.
