naru japanese restaurant

this is my favorite restaurant in town! it is romantic, quiet , and has beautiful decor. they have consistent good entrees and rolls. and if you go during lunch make sure to try their bento box! plus their outside patio is also nice and has shading.

this place is amazing. i am a prior hibachi chef myself and the quality of food is amazing compared to other restaurants nearby. perfectly seasoned, beautiful assortment of menu items without sacrificing taste. sushi rolls are made with high quality ingredients, backed with a certified chef. i recommend this place 10/10 times.

i stumbled onto naru while i was at yankee candle. it was delicious, stay is friendly and attentive and the prices werent bad. i had the habachi steak and it was only 13.99

food was delicious! great atmosphere... fresh food... and tons of variety! fried rice was some of the best i've ever had! i highly recommend trying this place!

the atmosphere and decor of the restruant is pleasant, but the food is inconsistent. when making sushi ask for jonathan. he is the best. they'll make anything you'll want if it's not on the menu, just know what goes in it. some days are better and some days are horrible. my advise would be not to go there when it's busy, because the service will be extremely slow and the food will either come out cold, burnt, or the flavor will be off. the servers themselves are incredibly friendly, just very few of them. actually there are only about 5 people working entirely most of the time. sometimes there will be only 3 people i've noticed: 1 server, 1 kitchen chef, and 1 sushi chef. so i'd advise, be sure to walk in on a slow day or make sure you have some time to spare. but over all i'd give it 7/10, just because i like the food here a lot, especially the sushi. 👍🏼

i have been here several times. best hibachi and sushi in this area. the food, customer service, atmosphere, and prices are hard to beat.

i been here many times to eat. lunch and dinner. the food is excellent and the service was amazing. the place gives a great vibe and has beatiful decor. my visit is always great and i plan on coming again. also i heard that they are making a new menu. with new sushi rolls and alcoholic drinks. and some prices are gonna be lowered according to one of the chefs

horrible food and management! cody, the server i had was excellent. the fried rice was burned, the hot tea was cold. i had hibachi chicken and wonder if i was eating hibachi cat!! i ordered steamed rice and even that was bad. if a japanese restaurant cannot even make rice well, that says everything!!

it is my new favorite sushi place! i think it's the best in memphis and i am a weekly customer now. ask for hayley, she is a great waitress! the southaven roll, spider roll and the marilyn monroe roll are the best i have tried so far. (even though they are all great!) only thing i am worried about is that we are the only ones ever in there for lunch. i am hoping they have more business so they can stay open for a very long time! the sushi chefs are also very friendly and always on top of everything. i give this place 5 out of 5 stars :)

best sushi in southaven.. and perhaps in the entire memphis area.

very good food, the restaurant is do relaxing and gorgeous inside. the food is very similar to benihana hibachi. we didn't try the sushi but the folks next to us has a huge wooden ship full of it and seemed to really like it. we will definitely be back!!

ask for the duck. it is delicious! so is the tuna! ask for madison, she is a great waitress!

great atmosphere, friendly peeps, excellent food and presentation. try the dessert, yummy! can't wait to come back and bring our friends. we had the sea bass, and tuna.
