mya's fried chicken

our first experience, finally, with mya's came at the 2nd annual chicken and beer fest in west bank park. it was a couple hours before the end of the small festival and it showed. mya's was out of all chicken pieces except strips and sandwiches, which i'm assuming are strips on a bun. we were told that the only sides that were left were slaw and baked beans, but the guy dishing up the grub hooked us up with some of what was actually left of the mac and cheese. it was cold, and like many places mac dry and mostly flavorless. the chicken strips were good.
i could chalk up the mac being subpar to its sheer left over-ness, but i've had enough mac and cheese out places to surmise it's probably not much better when piping hot. the 3 star rating could easily change with another visit at a more opportune time, but for now it's a disappointing "meh" for me.

great for a weekend lunch. stopped here last weekend and got the half chicken (breast, thigh, wing & drumstick) for $10, two chicken sliders for $6 and sides of mashed potatoes and gravy and mac & cheese for $2 or $3 a piece. the biscuits were dry, but the flavor was good. the chicken was excellent. be sure to get the honey drizzle on any chicken that you buy here. it was the best part. the sides were good. i would like to try the green beans with onions and bacon next time.

the food was great, the workers were nice & we would go back again. there are a few picnic tables set up outside (the food truck is parked in a convenience store parking lot) although there are no bathroom facilities. check it out if you love fried chicken.

dry and way overpriced. this food was not good. the meat was dry and the side dishes were greasy and dirty looking. it was not worth half what they charged for it.

not impressed. chicken was just ok, beans had no flavor, and although we were the only customers they forgot our biscuits.

love me some mya's. mya's is among the best fried chicken i have ever had; easily the best in columbus. it is a much higher quality than your typical fast food fried chicken; like fine dinning quality. flavorful and crisp, juicy and never greasy. i usually get the biscuit sliders but i have also tried the two piece white some sides and a couple specials. all very tasty. i like to get a small side of coleslaw and put it on the biscuit slider. the slaw is kind of a hybrid vinegar/creamy; the best of both imo. they alway park at pacemont and high by the super food mart which carries sprecker sodas; love their root beer and cream soda. it can get a little busy at peak times but it is so worth the wait.

chicken is good. we go to mya fries chicken. we sit in line but not four too long so we dont mind vary much. they giv us nice waiterman he looks lyke me if i was not so old oh well and he is nyce too witch is good. i wonder if he has gerlfrend or boyfrend its ok i dont judge. i order chiken and happy jooce. my dait can hav water and ice chips i dont want to spen a lot of moneys she can loose sum wait anyways.
food not take too long and wen it gets to polished wood serface i eat it. has strang texters the chiken is hard! but the hard chiken has nyce taste on my buds and its hot too. it was to hott. i tel them put it in freezer for oh lyke 20 minuts pleas i want it coold. i do not eat hott chiken it berns my tooths.
my dait starts cumplaining to me and tells me i am rood but i wasint being rood to waitman. so i yel at her and she starts screeming. they tel me we must leeve u r scaring the kids pay and get out.
the bil was 29 dollers i dont hav 29 dollers i hav 9 dollers. they say rite a check but i dont hav checkerbook. they say giv me creditor card but i dont hav 1 of those eether. they say leeve or we call cops.
overall we had nyce time the staf was nyce good job waitman! i wood tip u 1.50 dollers if we werent remooved by big bald man. he was nyce tho he carry me so i dont hav to walk but drop me wen we got outside. its ok tho i am hevy but not hevy lyke my dait. she needs to loose pounds she has hart problum.

best fried chicken in columbus, the honey drizzle and spicy vinegar that come with the chicken really puts it over the top.

mya’s has now become one of our go-to eats on the weekends. “what do you want for dinner?” “let’s go to mya’s.” you’ll be hearing that again and again in our house.

the best fried chicken and biscuit you will ever have in your life.. mya's fried chicken is the best fried chicken and biscuit you will ever have in your life. i finally tried it and was very impressed. i got the 2 piece dark chicken with biscuit and my two small sides were the smashed potatoes with pan gravy, and green beans with bacon and onions. everything was delicious. i like it better than kfc and other places that i had fried chicken in the past. check out mya's food truck, they are open fridays, saturdays, and sundays from noon-8 p.m. i will go back to mya's fried chicken again for great fried chickens and biscuits, and the best sides, too.

best fried chicken in columbus. at least, that's what my husband says, and he's a connoisseur. (see other ratings for fried chicken below . . .)
wildflower cafe: sometimes sublime, sometimes just good. inconsistent.
hubbard grille: not good. breading is too heavy and overcooked.
park street kitchen: succulent, crispy, great.

so, what i'm saying here is this: mya's fried chicken can compete (and beat) some of the most expensive fried chicken in the city, so if you don't mind ordering from a truck, you might want to get down there.

the sides were pretty solid, too.
