i've tried mullets about 7 times. i keep trying becuase that have a great patio and location, but every time my meal or drink gets messed up. one time they gave me the wrong sandwich, turn around and made me another wrong sandwich. three sandwiches before i got the correct order. i don't know if i'm just jinxed, but i think i'm done trying. i'm really disappointed.

the italian grinder sandwich fit the bill for what i wanted and the service at the restaurant was quick and efficient. mullets is nothing fancy, the food is fun and somewhat interesting, just like the atmosphere. it's a nice place in a fun - in a harmless way - setting.

only been here for breakfast, but i highly recommend it, right next to the river with a lot of nostalgia, didn't seen many mullets but did get a filling good meal

started working in des moines, frequented mullets often because of the staff and food. aleisha took such great care of our crew working in town every time we ate there. always had a smile and she always made sure our drinks were full! the all day breakfast is excellent. also recommend the nachos.

great little spot. good food. they have sweet potato tater tots they are to die for. fun atmosphere. parking can be kinda difficult. right on the bike trail. i love the sanmburg if they still have it.

dined in july.... unfortunately, had a bad service experience... friend asked our server for water three seperate times, eventually had to get her own water from the bar. then, did not see our server for a long time and after 45 minutes, got management involved. manager and another server took our orders and and service was attentive after that.

mullets filled my gullet right. good food and good prices. the staff is great and friendly especially for a trendy des moines restaurant. they actually work together as a team. the food is fun and exciting. it has a good atmosphere all around.

august 2013. went to mullets - had great service from our waiter, had good food - however the chef came out drunk and acting stupid at the end of the night and now i am grossed out to think of what he was doing in the kitchen all night. if the chef steve is working - i suggest you go elsewhere...unless you want a drunk 18 year old making your food.......

this place is great. we have been there twice for breakfast and each time was delicious. the waitress was fantastic. i think she makes a big difference in how much we enjoy eating here. great food and great service equal a great experience.

loved it!. you have got to get up and hit this place for breakfast. i'm telling you.. you will be hooked! worth every dime you pay!

definite hit! mouth watering bacon chorizo hash with a side of sausage gravy. don't forget to add a memosa and a piece of maple bacon cheesecake. delish!

great place! it's the first time we've dined here. we ordered the nachos with graziano sausage as our appetizer. delicious! the regular size was a large portion of baked chips with delicious cheese, jalapeños, with a side of sour cream and salsa. the half-order would have been plenty. the entree was a popcorn chicken poboy - also delicious. the entree came with a side of french fries which was a mixture of crinkle fries and curly fries. whoever thought of serving two types of fries (instead of maker the diner choose) is a genius!! the prices are very reasonable and our server was great. we would definitely return!

worth getting out of bed for. the title says it all, the breakfast is so amazing. and major props to their, what i'm assuming is the, usual weekday breakfast server. i need to catch that gal's name, but she is seriously great! coffee is always topped off and service attitude is above and beyond friendly. items to enjoy are the graziano hashbrowns, breakfast burrito (it's huge!), and my favorite, the cordon bleu "omullet"
