mugs is not mugs 'n jugs. the new mugs should have its own urbanspoon listing.. we used to eat at mugs 'n jugs when it was on 66th street n., one or two times per week. for ten years! one day, we showed up for lunch and the place was gone, without so much as a note in the door. we had eaten there a couple days prior, and no mention was made of a closing. we were on their mailing list and did not receive any mention of a move.

by accident, we found mugs a couple weeks later. the first time we went, the place was packed. same menu as mugs 'n jugs in a nicer facility on ulmerton. we waited over 20 minutes for a beer and cocktail. another 25 minutes later, the food arrived. the southwest chicken wrap (which i have ordered, literally, at least 100 times) now contained half the chicken it did before. my husband ordered the brisket as he usually does. his portion, too, was cut from what it used to be. i guess they are paying for the new digs out of their grocery funds. the party of 8 sitting next to us waited over an hour for their food.

ok, we had been regulars and being new location, we gave them a pass. second time, the hockey game was on, which was fine, but it was on full blast on dozens of tv's which are mounted right over the booths. the commercials came on twice as loud--it was painful. food was equally diminished in quantity, but still tasted good.

our last time at mugs, sadly, was this past weekend. we just stopped in for drinks and an app. given the late hour, there was nothing else close. we sat in the bar side, this time. the tables are numbered in such a way that the servers on three occasions brought us food we had not ordered. we watched them walk around asking "did you order this". the food had to be cold by the time it arrived... our shrimp looked like they were served previously and returned by another customer. soggy--nasty. we returned them. our drinks were not better. a cosmo that was so so, a lemon drop that was nothing but lemon juice, a long island tea that was brown kool-aid. the long island tea was returned for a double shot of crown, which came back looking like a single. $40 plus tip. if they stay in business another three or four months, we will assume they fixed their problems and may go back. not for a while, though.

this place is great, i know you think mugs and jugs and you think crap bar food but it's really good. the wait staff is awesome and it really laid out nice. give it a shot

this place is awesome. a big group of us go to mugs n jugs during the football season and we always have a blast. i mean, every game is on one of the many tv's, the waitresses are friendly, the drinks are great and cold and the host always seats us just where we need to be to get the best views of the games to accommodate the different football team fans we have in our family. i have been in this place when it is extremely busy and never had poor service. the food is perfect to eat while i am cheering on my team. i love to people watch too-football fans can be quite passionate :) i've also went one night when they were doing karaoke-it was a great time!

i'm very unhappy with the waitresses. why do people who lack kindness work in service? why is this allowed by ownership? does good business revolve around the lack of respect for the patrons. as a result of poor service from a young rude reese, i will not return for a while. mugs 'n jugs sports bar & grill has become complacent.

requirements for delivery is disappointing...:(. disappointed that i was advised that the purchase price has to be $100.00 for a delivery order, and that an order has to be placed 24 hours in advance??? to some it's a splurge to even order from a restaurant. i didn't know 24 hours ago, that i was going to order for delivery..... doesn't entice this would be customer to return...

one of my fave places! i go here for all of the wwe ppv events. great food, can always find coupons too, as well as the rewards card they offer. also like going for trivia night. their wings are my absolute favorite, and their traditional buffalo hot sauce has won awards. always pleased. recently tried the fajitas and ready to try them again! yum!!

always great. always awesome food and great service, reese especially. boneless wings, buffalo chicken salad and fried pickles are amazing! so glad i have such a great place to grab lunch during the week and watch football on sundays.

we have eaten @ mugs hundreds of times in clearwater, great food. we visited the largo location to grab food to go, got home and were very disappointed. wings tasted like old cooking oil, seemed like they had been sitting a while before being boxed, the boneless wings were tough and chewy, overcooked. will definitely be calling them today to let them know.

great wings, great karaoke. didn't realize there were so many stuffy uptight diners out there. i thought this place was great. our office crew frequents mnj occasionally.the breaded wings are huge, hot and very tasty. prices were decent too. love the bogo drink specials! we had a really nice server (not crazy about their outfits, though- at least be in shape if you're going to wear tight clothing!). but the atmosphere was fun and i will definitely be back.

not impressed, cold food, poor management- a long wait for bar drinks that taste like plain soda, hot beer, and a tired wait staff with no smiles- very loud girls though. our family heard a conversation we didnt need to hear. low class place ill stick to winghouse where the foods hot and the girls are friendly and more attractive.

wings are good but.... the good part is the wings are big and tasty, the boneless wings are good too the chicken salad and chicken sandwich was good. the bad news is most of the rest of the menu is not good. we tried the steak, the burgers, the mozz stix and even my kids wouldn't eat it. they must of changed owners because back around 2009 the food was awesome. the karaoke during dinner was also fun.

five star service - waitresses and manager were very accommodating. buffalo wings were tasty, nothing negative to note!

only caters to ohio state fans on saturday game days. the decent part of our visit was the food. had the jerk chicken sandwich was was very good, although a bit expensive especially since fries aren't included. the wings are always pretty good too. we had two servers because the first was nearing the end of her shift. the first one took our order, but wasn't too friendly. i guess since the tip was going to the person taking over, she didn't care. the 2nd server was excellent.

the unfortunate side of this place is that if you come to watch a college football game on saturday, don't expect them to allow you to see anything other than ohio state. we were seated well before the osu game and they turned on the game we wanted to see (two florida teams) on just two tvs so that our party sitting on either side of the table could see. as osu fans arrived, they complained that they didn't have enough tvs to see from every possible viewing angle. so the manager changed almost all the tvs to the osu game. we even got into an argument with some of the old women who were sitting directly in front of 3 tvs with the same game on. yes, 3 right in front of them and they wanted them all on osu. there were no fewer than 7 tvs surrounding them with the same game. we asked for only one to see the two fl teams. management sided with them because they're regulars and they loudly voiced their opinion. management also told us that it's an ohio state bar. i guess we didn't get the memo. we drove from tampa to this bar to meet friends just to watch this game. shameful. there's no way we would have chosen this place if we knew we couldn't see the game there. we won't be back. no compensation or anything offered by management. we left at halftime and watched the rest at courtside grill. we mentioned our experience to one of the employees there and he said he experienced the same thing at mugs n jugs recently and won't go back there either. he described the same scenario about mean, female osu fans before we gave him details about our experience. it was hilarious.
