brunch. i have been to mrs. k.'s twice in the past month for brunch and have to admit i really enjoyed it. yes, the dining room upstairs is quite loud, but you can make a reservation to be seated in the wine cellar or one of the smaller rooms upstairs. freshly made french toast is brought to your table and the all you-can-eat brunch buffet includes ham or salmon eggs benedict, fresh oysters on the half shell, alaskan king crab legs, shrimp, scallops, an omelett station, belgian waffle station (making both small and large ones) and a carving station with salmon and prime rib. some of the breakfast pastries may have been a little subpar, but the wait staff was very attentive and kept our table clean and our coffee hot. definitely enjoyed the historic atmosphere of the place and finished our meal with a stroll through the beautiful, well-maintained garden.
