this place was delicious! it’s definitely a pricier option but so worth it if you want something different and a little fancier, and still getting those beautiful asian flavours. service was on point also, highly recommend!

honestly it was the most disappointing meal in la so far. basically you are paying 200 for meal you can get for 20 somewhere else. the server persistently pushed us to order a set which comes with 2 apps and 2 mains. the apps were okay the fried shrimp and chicken satay. however the mains were a joke, veggies were not cooked couldnt even bite into it, bland tasteless liver mixed with shrimp which didnt go well at all we left 3/4 of the food untouched.
it's not only the food that bothered me its the staffs who were pushy, unprofessional and 1 guy literally was too busy gawking at a girl next table. it was almost uncomfortable environment.
extremely hyped restaurant.

the worst meal of our us trip. after hearing great reviews we were excited about eating there. we were so disappointed! not a single dish matched up to its name, we've eaten great chinese all over the world and also in america. to be fair, the service was good and the servers tried to rectify the damage by taking the dishes to the kitchen and having them redone. the two wines we chose were both unavailable. every dish was bland, unappetising and overpriced. just being in beverly hills is no qualification for a good restaurant. get your food right!

every average chiness food.. lots of hype over this established beverly hills restaurant. atmosphere good, seating is cramped, probably not the place to go for a intimate evening,... if you want to have a private conversation. the service was fine. the food, which is the main reason for going to any restaurant, isn't ? was really, really, average ! and the quality did not match the high prices. perhaps we are fortunate in europe to have a glut of high quality chinese restaurants charging sensible prices. for sure, in my city, mr chow's would not be listed as a first class place to dine. my suggestion, having dined is other cities with good chinese quarters, save your hard earned money, and buy a ready made meal from the supermarket ! you can get some really good peking duck.

amazing!. i've heard about this place for years because it's a known celebrity hotspot. but when i had dinner there i found out it was so much more! the food was amazing and they have impeccable service! everything we had was delicious. i'm sure everything on the menu is great, but if there's one thing you must try here it is the mr. chow noodles. we also enjoyed the chicken satay, velvet chicken and spicy pork with chili. the only thing that i didn't like is that it is a very cramped space because they try to fit as many tables in the dining room as possible. that coupled with the energetic ambiance makes it hard to carry on a conversation. i would definitely go back, but don't expect to go there for a quiet romantic dinner.

special in so many ways.. we've been to this hip bev. hills hot spot several times. always with a reservation, never seated before standing in their tiny, overcrowded bar for at least 30 min. recently we waited for an hour. that's special. the scene is loud, crowded, and filled with hollywood types or want-to-be's. i mean really loud for a restaurant. that's special. the wine list is limited, but fairly comprehensive and appropriate for the fair. however, the prices are 20-30% higher than your typical overpriced l.a. wine list. that's special. the service is attentive, professional and courteous. their top-notch service is special. the food is delicious, creative and well prepared. the selection is excellent, whether you order off the menu or ask your server to. never disappointed. that's special. the prices are outrageous! never paid a check less than $125 per person. that's special. i think we've been their, done that. thanks mr. chow's for being so special.

march 27, 2011. visiting la from western australia, i saw mr chow as a tiny restaurant packed with diners with too many staff servicing your table giving you no privacy. push to choose the set menu. ordered the velvet chicken with fresh chilli. when complaining the dish was bland, the chef prepared the dish again and it matched the description on the menu.

are you kidding me?. i went here for dinner on a friday night with 2 friends, maybe that was my mistake. lets start with i had a reservation for 730 and wasnt seated until 815, thats not ok in my book. then we were asked to stand at the bar until our table was ready, the bar was filled with creepy old men! one guy actually told me he would like it if i touched him... what?! then we get seated, 7 different confused servers approach us asking a ton of questions about what we want... give us a second we havent even found the menu yet! we take the servers suggestion and let him order for us... not a good idea! everyone raves about the chicken satay... i thought it was ok but nothing fantastic. maybe its because it was bright orange and that kinda threw me off a bit. then he brings us beef and broccoli... really at this place we let you order for us and the best you can come up with is beef and broccoli? thats not saying much... following the old standard beef and broccoli was green shrimp... and yes it bright green. the 'tempura" breading was soggy and there is just too much sauce. why is it green??? we had vodka martinis with dinner and you cant screw that up so those were good! dessert was actually good... berry tart. so a few hundred dollars later we all left completely unsatisfied and 2 hours behind schedule for our night. mr chow is busted!

stupid. save your time and dignity and cram a greasy ralph's egg-roll down your pie hole while you flush $100 bills down the toilet.
