mr. and mrs. wok

love it!. tastes healthy and fresh... less oil than other places. we have the garlic chicken noodles, mango chicken and crab rangoon a couple times a month.

best spicy chicken teriyaki in seattle!. i don't say that lightly. i am a connoisseur of the spicy chicken teriyaki. i thought i would never find the equal of my dearly missed west seattle teriyaki on fauntleroy (long gone) but now i have found it. this place doesn't put green onions and stuff like wst did, it's just plain chicken with a delicious sauce. but, the chicken is perfectly cooked...still juicy (clear juices), still with that soft "not overdone" yummy chicken-ey texture between the teeth, but also has the required crispy slightly-burnt edges. and the sauce is absolutely perfect, the kind that makes you think "could be spicier" at first, but then halfway through your brow is getting sweaty and your nose is all cleared out. and the salad! it's unbelievable! various freshly-shredded green leafs. i will be craving just this salad. it was the first time i ever inhaled the entire salad before even opening the main box. (i was hungry.) the rice was also perfect, just the right degree of al dente and stickiness and they sprinkled some yummy black seeds on it. overall, i am blown away. finally i've found the good stuff. ten stars, or something. the only downside is that the last time i was this in love with a teriyaki joint i gained five pounds.

today i stopped by, mr. and mrs. wok, a local asian style restaurant on the way back to work after a dentist appointment. i actually found the place on zomato, even though i drive by there all the time. the reason i was drawn to it was the 4.1 rating with 192 votes. that there is a good sign in my books.

branching out-new menu item review. ok, so i usually order the spicy chicken teriyaki when i eat at mr. ad mrs. but my last meal i tried a couple of different menu items and was very happy that i did.
i ate the seattle roll and the spicy pork bulgogli.
seattle roll-vegetarian sping roll (4 pieces) wrapped in rice paper and a mildly spicy peanut dipping sauce. $4.99.
spicy pork bulgogli served sizzling on a hot iron skillet-pork, assorted veggies and peppers delivered to your table on a hot iron skillet. it comes with a large portion of rice and a salad. beware that this dish is pretty spicy. i would gauge it at a solid 4 stars. $9.99.
the service was outstanding as is the norm.

i also like...yes!!!!!!!!. i have to agree with kz's review. everything he or she says is true about mr. and mrs. wok's spicy teriyaki chicken. it was truely excellent (and i have only been in once!!)
i have driven by this place many times and stopped in a couple of weeks ago to try the food.
the menu is very deversified and if the spicy chicken is any indication the rest of the food must be quite good too. prices on the menu items look great!
i saw people ordering the vegetarian yakisoba, shrimp rolls in a thin transparent wrap it all looked great and was, imho, some of the best looking asian food served at a "teriyaki" joint and they serve bento boxes too.
mr. and mrs. wok is far different from the "usual" teriyaki restaurant. they have a large and varied menu of asian favorites and some items i have not seen on a menu before.
also, mr. and mrs. is a million times better in decor and service than the usual teriyaki place like yasukos or sunny teriyaki and the service is excellent!.
it's nice to see a restaurantur that cares about how the restaurant looks in addition to serving high quality food.
i am duly impressed with mr. and mrs. wok and will return soon!
two small critcisms: there was no teriyaki sauce on the tables and none was brought with my meal but i asked for the sauce and the waitress brought it. also, the salad with my meal was a bit underdressed.

this week we had our favorite spicy basil chicken and the osaka chicken (they were out of mango/tofu cashew chicken) i added a bit of sriracha sauce for osaka chicken... not needed for the spicy basil. we also had beautiful salad rolls while we waited to the main courses to arrive. is there any better place? @macfoodie

charming little place: great service, reasonably priced food, fresh and flavorful. i would return.

the food was delicious and very well priced. on top of that, the restaurant was extremely clean. this is a great place for a spur-of-the-moment dinner out.

this is a terriyaki joint??!!. i remember the sad excuse for a cafe that was here before...what an improvement! wonderful service and excellent, freshly prepared and well seasoned food. great prices as well. i will most definitely return!
