i left out an ingredient. i asked tammy what made her burgers so good. “i add a secret ingredient.” what is it, you ask? “i put a little love in each burger.” then she laughs.

like many other detroit stories, motz’s story is long, has a quick rise and a long fall, but carries a steadfast attitude that kept it going. long-time detroiters will gladly share their stories about childhood memories of eating sliders by the bag with their parents, through good times and bad- much like our children will...

the best in town!. i have been going there since the early 1960's as a little kid with my mom. here it is 2013 and i still go as often as i can whenever i'm in the neighborhood. my 14 year old grandson loves them as well. last saturday it was his idea to go there. he says they are the best darn burgers in town!!! ....and i agree!!!

as a wee baby boy i had me very first slider being raised in southwest detroit, having tried dozens of other sliders i keep coming back at least once per month to enjoy the very best ever made. love those double cheeseburger sliders cooked to perfection steamed on a bed of onion then plated up between browns buns another classic southwest detroit business. http://www.motzs.com/ http://www.tout.com/m/hv6e4c since 1929 this place has numerous written articles nationwide claiming this place has always had the sliders that are the true crave. a must order is the double which i always have a standing order for 3 which they all know once i walk in. the crew a family operation being together for decades are very proud to provide you with fast friendly service. a variety of other burgers to try of which i must get my same order each is i've heard also outstanding. please check out both there facebook page and website.

awesome place! classic sliders at its finest! i did venture to try the mexican burger, a larger patty stuffed with jalepena's. had all the topping, onions, cheese, lettuce, pickle, tomatoe...etc...etc... i have to say the sliders are the way to go for sure! dont waste your time on the big special burgers go for the classic. i did hear from.the cook that the doubles are the best so i know what i'm going for next time. enjoy!

this was one of the best burgers i've ever had, in its simplicity. two eighth pound patties. steamed bun. mustard. ketchup. it was incredible.

motz hamburgers gets my vote. i drove past this place for years without trying it. now i finally took the plunge and it awesome! they might actually be better than telway. i'm a huge fan of telway but this place just has some ghetto fabulous hamburgers. i tried the double cheese and i was in hamburger heaven. they are cheap too!!!

the meat has great flavor, and the combination of the amazing grilled onions, pickles and everything else make for one hell of a slider.

detroit sliders. ok folks being raised in the hood this place has always been number one with me, formally called mott's it's still all the same great freshest juicy burgers and coffee they've always had. a small type white porcelain building with a dozen stools you get to see the racks of fresh some balls of burgers throw on a flat grill with heavy stringy onions oh yea. directly across from detroit's produce terminal where the movie hoffa was filmed and next to the old 4th precinct of detroit's finest police department. a must try for all you carters and telway fans. they really have the most friendly staff to go along with those juicy burgers.
