yum-town!. excellent indian food. it always seems a bit expensive, but that's just how the menu is organized (i find this rings true with most indian restaurants). just a hair off of 17th ave, perfectly nice and quiet. their mango lassi with absolut mango vodka is to die for; don't skimp! couldn't really be happier with this place.

expensive but worth it.. i would come more often, but i find the food pretty pricey. one dish i love is the eggplant. it just has this incredible taste to it -even my boyfriend who hates eggplant loves it. i think the eggplant dish is even better than butter chicken, chicken korma and paneer. value wise it's better to eat in than take-out. the portions are even smaller for takeout. you pretty much get about a cup and half (375 ml) if you get the entrees to go. but for a date night, the restaurant is pretty romantic and the service is stellar. plus they make a lovely mango lassi vodka cocktail.

one of the better ones. indian restaurants in calgary come in for fierce debate. this is one of the tastier ones, with excellent sauces and a variety of good breads.

this is my favourite restaurant in town.. nobody in town makes eggplant bartha the way they do. i dream about it at night. the naan is succulent and delicious. i've never had a bad dish here.

second to naan. i haven't tried every indian restaurant in calgary yet, but so far the moti mahal has the best nann i've tasted! it was a little more expensive than i was expecting, but i think it was well worth it.

very good, not as cheap as you'd hope. i've eaten at moti about 4 or 5 times both as takeout and dine-in. every time the food has been consistently good and some dishes even fantastic.

casual but professional service has always been the status quo, and the food always takes as long as they say it does (for pick up).

the food is good, but it's not the best and i've always found myself a little disappointed with the price tag. perhaps it's easier to justify for a dine-in meal for the price, but for take-out it's just not worth it.

good. i love their naan. it's nice. unfortunately a bit too spicy. prices are fair but on the expensive side. why not, after all?

good food. but poor service.since kids were hungry we ordered couple of dishes ahead of main order,kids got their dishes but they forgot our main order. very unprofessional.

like everything about this place.. this is one of my favourite restaurants in town. the thing i like the most about this restaurant is the atmosphere. they have a cute swing in the waiting area, beautiful curtains and decorations. the food is quite decent, i like that fact that they are not as greesy as some other indian restaurant.

this is the best indian food in calgary. i went to india 3 summers ago and loved the food, moti mahal makes me feel like i'm back in india, unlike some places where the food is good, but not quite the food from india . the food here is spectacular , the atmosphere is wonderful and my water glass was always full. i definitly recomend going to moti mahal!

great service and atmosphere and very good food. the moti mahal is one of our family stalwarts. the welcome is always friendly, the service good, and the food is consistent and very good.

i have eaten in few indian restaurants as good as mm. (the now closed kashmir on 17th ave was one) .

i know good indian cause i'm indian!. this place is def not the best indian restaurant in calgary. lunch buffet is ok maybe dinner is better!

absolutely excellent!. visited here a week ago and was amazed! loved the chicken vindaloo and the garlic naan bread. i live within walking distance and have never been. glad i tried it. i'll be back!
