gus says four paws up. we loved eating under the mesquite trees at morning glory with our daughter's puppy gus. the restaurant is a quiet and quaint oasis near south mountain in phoenix. i will - slightly - concur with the preceeding review in that the food is ok, and it a bit pricey. my cowboy breakfast (with chili) was a little runny although the toast was excellent. the baked muffins were good and the orange juice was outstanding. the coffee was above average, and the schreiner's sausage was excellent. the bloody mary was above average but it didn't contain any celery or vegetables - kind of odd for an organic farm. and the veg omelette was light on veg too. so it all was good, with a great atmosphere. what makes it a top winner is the ability to bring your dog. our little puppy gus loved it. so we did too. recommended for you and your pooch.

absolutely delicious. my husband & i were in town for a wedding & were wanting to eat at a nice breakfast spot - i instantly fell in love with morning glory cafe from the moment we drove up. we could not stop raving over the delicious cowboy breakfast (chili & eggs) & you can taste the freshness in the white truffled eggs. the bread accompaniment was absolutely perfect. very quaint, cute, & well-shaded outdoor cafe!

my first visit here. outdoor seating in a very clean and relaxing atmosphere. friendly staff. we went early so no wait time. very good food. excellent coffee and tea selection. brisket wasn't as tasty as described.

we ate here on a saturday morning in march. the surrounding farm is beautiful. it was a cool sunny day which is relevant because there is only patio seating. it would be too hot for some phoenix days. the food was farm fresh and delicious. we had the chorizo huevos rancheros and the farm sandwich (egg and bacon and gruyere cheese on a brown bread). the chorizo was well seasoned and finely ground. we would return and recommend to others.

nestled in these picturesque foothills of south mountain, just 8 minutes from downtown phoenix, arizona, you’ll find a charming mix of gardens, markets and restaurants called the farm and affectionately known as “the valley’s hidden gem.” one of these restaurants is morning glory cafe, an outdoor dining establishment next to the farm’s organic gardens. we were excited to try this cafe because of its rave reviews, and because it works hard to minimize its impact on the environment. morning glory cafe also strives to source the best local products available, and they are committed to using seasonal and sustainable ingredients in their cooking. usually, there’s a long wait to be seated, but luckily we were able to sit down at a table right when we arrived. tables are peacefully situated under large mesquite trees and umbrellas, providing shade from the piercingly hot sun like a little desert oasis. beverages such as locally roasted café

long wait. good food, but we got there at 1045 and were told that the wait was fifteen minutes. fast forward 45 minutes to when we were seated. the service was below average. for a place where the drinks are self serve they took a long time to get our order and to bring out the food. we were finally given our food at 1220. it was very good, but not worth one hour 45 minutes. i give them a thumbs up for food but 2 thumbs done for servec and organization.

wow! my fiance and i just left and agree it is the best breakfast we ever had. i ordered the rustic french toast with sausage. he had the american with bacon, eggs, home fries, biscuits, and added gravy..it was all excellent! we are from michigan and say yes to this place! you will be satisfied!

overrated. i got the american breakfast, pretty straightforward, two eggs, home fries, sausage and a buttermilk biscuit. the food was late (got an apology from the waiter), overcooked eggs, undercooked potatoes and the sausage, believe it or not, were half and half (cooked on one side only). all in all a disappointment. adding insult to injury, i had to pour my own coffee into a paper cup as the waiters chit chatted on the side....

great place. ate breakfast here yesterday (4/6/11). first visit. coffee was good. four of us had four different dishes. french toast was to die for; almost too much for this big eater. burrito was tasty though a bit runny. friends had omelets which were good but nothing out of the ordinary.
service was very attentive.
setting is a good part of what makes this place. good food plus great ambience makes for a great place.
only real knock is handicap access. they have two hc parking places, but there is no paved path from the parking lot to the tables. my wife had considerable difficulty even with assistance moving her wheelchair across all the wood chips.

great outdoor brunch cafe. we stopped by on a beautiful saturday morning, as usual busy, but was able to grab a table right away. we ordered the bloody mary's and chocolate scone to start. the bloody mary's were wow kick, and very good. our brunch items were white truffle scrambled eggs and the monti christo, both outstanding.

my secret weekday escape. these are sacred grounds for foodies. a working farm + 3 restaurants. although chef laprad's quiessence is the crown jewel of the property, his breakfast restaurant is not to be missed! where else can you enjoy breakfast on a farm within the city limits of phoenix!?

don't bother. i live just down the street from the farm, and i would really like to say that i love this place - but i don't. the setting is great, but not nice enough to make-up for mediocre food - especially at these prices!

their potatoes are kind of a bland mush, and 4 of the 5 times i've been here, they were served lukewarm. the biscuits are pretty good - when they are served hot, which is pretty hit or miss.

the omelets are not that great in my experience. a friend had the vegetarian omelet last time and it was filled with sauteed celery and carrots, and a little bit of goat cheese. not too impressive - even if the veggies are grown on the property.

one dish that has been consistently good is their granola - probably because it doesn't actually need to be cooked. i've had it two times and it has always been delicious. still, its an $8 bowl of cereal!

if you want to enjoy the farm i recommend strolling the grounds with a cup of coffee. bring your own from home, starbucks, 7-11, or wherever because the coffee here is not too great either.
