not worth it!!!. i picked up a to-go order, and my experience with doing that alone was so bad that i will never be coming back. when i asked for bread (something they offer with every meal) i was laughed at by the waiter, as he proceeded to offer me crackers instead. perhaps because he thought it was such a funny situation? i was also charged over menu price for what i ordered. if i'm going to be charged $30 for two orders of manicotti, something i can get anywhere else in roanoke cheaper, the least they could do is offer great service. not to mention there was a line of people waiting to be seated that had been ignored by the staff. the entire staff is rude and unprofessional, and the price is not worth it. i will never be coming back. stay away from this place and save yourself the trouble.

back on the up and up. i peaked at the other reviews and i'll admit they have their bad days. i've been a patron for years and they went through a period were they were more off than on but now (2012) they are on the up swing again. i've never had a bad special, the sandwiches are good, and the brazilian stuff is all good (granted i'm no expert on traditional brazilian). the older servers are amazing and will remember you when you come back

awful!. menu appears to be a bit ambitious. they should work on perfecting a few things rather than making 20 items sub par. less than mediocre service. i could handle poor service for great food, not the case. the staff all looked like they had seen better days. the server treated our table as if she could've cared less if we there. nothing came out in order. salads before appetizers etc. she also did not mind telling us about how terrible the owner is to work for. she seemed afraid to try and resolve any of our issues. poor food, dirty atmosphere and a server who seemed like she would've been better qualified to work at a denny's. first and absolute last trip there. why waste hard earned money on this place?

creative and unique. we have enjoyed our meals here on several occasions. be prepared to spend some time with the menus and if you arrive later in the evening be prepared for the low cost feature (a real bargain) to be out of supply. the menu is too large to get stuck on one item, or even one genre. the dinner entrees are delicious. the sandwiches at lunch are extremely creative. it is a nice casual atmosphere, can be rowdy at times with some live music. huge selection of beers.

so many people told us to try this place....big disappointment! the appetizer was $12.50 for bread and 5 pcs of seafood, the brazilion antipasto, the entrees were like nursing home food. they comp dessert, which was very nice of them but we won't be back. yuck!

best creme brulee in the city!!!. this restaurant has creativity and a little bit of everything which is needed to stay afloat in these hard times...it is a casual place that has great music on popular nights to dine they stay crowded and are a bit pricey but the food is high quality...it is one of my favorites and when a date takes me there i always have an enjoyable meal. i've tried desserts everywhere they sell creme brulee and theirs is best by a landslide.

something to try. i have been here many times and it is always good. the duck with raspberry sauce is great! the service is good too.

best around. i have never had a less than excellent meal here. my party of 9 dined last week and we all left full and happy. the steaks were all done perfectly, seafood tasted fresh. loved the appetizers... especially the brie. we were celebrating an occastion and had had flowers delivered... they brought them right to the table... and made an appro. fuss. desserts were enjoyed by the few that had room... and i think we all took home leftovers. the waitress was very attentive. overall, just the wonderful meal we expecited. thanks.

when i went to montano's for the first time i was a bit taken back by the sheer size of the menu. i was barely half through reading it when the server appeared asking for orders. the water glasses we received were filthy, and my father-in-law had to send his white wine back to have the floating bits removed. i ordered dijon vinaigrette for my salad and got honey mustard that would have been at home with any mcnugget. the absolute end for me though, was when my uncle's dozen raw oysters arrived. he was eating them and discovered part a hershey's kiss wrapper under one of the oysters in the shell. how, i ask, does trash make it's way into a fresh shucked oyster? the server said that the kitchen crew were being careless with their trash, and then reached down and took that one oyster away and returned amazingly quick with a new one.
no, there are way too many other amazing places in roanoke for me to spend my money here. never again.

great food. huge wine/beer and menu selection. portion sizes are a little large but prices are reasonable. staff was friendly. overall 4/5.

huge menu selection. this place is really a treat. they have a 7 page menu with food from at least 5 countries, possibly more. they have a great beer and wine selection and amazing deserts. they also have some vegetarian selections but not many in comparison to the rest of the menu.
