i wavered to even review my lunch..... nothing really to say. it was completely average, as you might expect with a place that advertises itself as a korean taco joint. but, i want to be charitable here , since the whole fiasco is my fault. i admit it. i was working in gwinnett county, near buford hiway - an area known widely for its authentic ethnic cuisines...but without a guide, i was overwhelmed with all the choices. sadly, many are in the language of the country of origin only. one place i drove up on turned out to be a sweet shop/bakery..... and i thought i should try something i could recognize. what was i thinking? any choice, language barrier be damned, would have been better when in this area. after a lunch i could’ve gotten in my own neighborhood, i drove right past a huge place, bustling with locals, that had pho as a marquee steaming away.....oh how i wish i had rolled the dice,..
was it good? yeah. was it cheap? almost (12.00 two-taco lunch special) will i ever drive out of my way to go there again? nope. friendly staff, clean atmosphere, pretty good bulgogi......still won’t pull this out of the middle of the road.

upon learning about my food blog, my boss and one of my coworkers asked me if i’d tried mj korean tacos & wings. i hadn’t. and as a fan of asian fusion cuisine like takorea, my interest was instantly piqued. so one day i ventured out to see what was good. i didn’t know what to order. honestly, i didn’t know what to expect. it took me about 5 minutes to place my to go meal. i ended up ordering two shrimp tacos, garlic fries, and sweet tea, which was an 8.99 lunch option (the tea and fries were both $1 upcharges). twenty-five minutes later, i was on my way back to work.

service was so bad we left. get to the restaurant and every table is full but with food already. we were also meeting people there during a lunch break. the server did not tell us the wait for food was 50 minutes when we ordered (and how does it take 50 minutes to make tacos?) when we asked 20 minutes of waiting in, we were told another half hour. then the waitress walked away before we could tell her we'd have to cancel our order. so we left and she came out to yell at us. i would've been happy to ask her to cancel the order if she hadn't walked away while we still talking to her. would've loved to try the food but this place will not be getting my money. go to any of ther other dozens of korean tacos restaurants in duluth.

this has been my favorite korean taco experience in atlanta so far. had the original with spicy pork, another with spicy beef and the panko with shrimp. all three had excellent flavors to the meat and fresh veggies. good hot sauce. looking forward to going back and trying the wings and the rice bowl.

what a great combo!. this is a rare jewel!, we love to go eat here, my favorite is the pork and chicken tacos with the slaw, the snadwiches are huge. and prices are really good.
the only thing i can say is go with time, coz they make you wait for the good food. other than that is awesome!

what we got here is the mj soy garlic wings with sesame lemon pepper fries as our side. the wings here are fairly large and its lightly covered in their signature sauce. it tastes like a lighter version of the terayaki sauce with a slight kick of garlic. the fries were actually pretty good but it falls short once you tried the parmesan fries.   all the other places that advertise hot wings are actually pretty mild.

love it!. took the kids there for lunch on a rainy saturday afternoon because we were in the area and i had a scoutmob for this place. first thing i noticed when we walked in was a fishy smell, usually i would have turned around and left but ...man am i glad we stayed because the food was amaaaaazing! we ordered the tacos and wings i can't quite remember what flavor but it was the most delicious food experience i've had in quite a while.

fantastic fusion tacos!. the korean fusion taco scene has been taking atlanta by storm recently, with the popularity of hankook taqueria and takorea! unlike your typical mexican taco, these fusion tacos are served in a soft flour tortilla with korean marinated meats and seafood, and served with various fillings, like kimchi, a spicy salad and more. personally, i like mj's tacos much better than the two previously mentioned-they're inexpensive, tasty and much more flavorful in terms of sauces and meats (i love the beef and fish tacos here) the wings here are breaded, like the ones you'd find at hooters and topped with one of their various wings flavors! the burgers and nachos are all great, but their must order dish for me is the wonderful garlic parmesan fries....crispy french fries drenching in a pool of garlic-y and cheesy goodness-so addicting! and if you dine here on tuesdays, it's buy-one-get-one-free taco (max.1/person). gwinnett finally has one of these korean taco joints!

service was good, and the people were friendly. tacos were pretty good. the wings are battered and deep fried drums dipped in sauce. i was hoping for wings like in a wing place, which would have been awesome in traditional korean marinades, baked or dry fried crisp with no batter. probably will not revisit, sorry to say.

overall, i'm a huge fan of mj korean taco & wings. from the vast menu selections (parmesan fries-cannot repeat this enough) to the incredible service and terrific atmosphere, there isn't anything i don't love about this new addition to duluth! it's definitely a place i'd bring and recommend to friends and family looking to try something new and exciting. and honestly, in my opinion, mj's is 110% better than hankook and takorea combined (considering i've been to both places a few dozen times) in terms of overall atmosphere, service, food and even parking!
