not entirely impressed. a few things:
1. it is very loud in here because they cram you in. we sat at a 4-person table butted up against a second 4-person table, so it was as if we were eating with the strange family next to us.
2. service seems like a hit-or-miss. the family next to us came in about 10 minutes after we did. they received their drinks and miso soup before our waiter even took our order. we saw their waitor about every few minutes constantly checking on them, where our waiter was never to be seen after he dropped off our food - not even to follow up to make sure everything looked right. my dad had ordered tempura shrimp roll, they brought him tempura shrimp - we told them it was the wrong item, and a different woman showed up to give him the same thing; we quit trying to argue at that point. my dad and i ordered rolls while my sister ordered a bento; my dad and i were halfway through our meal before my sister ever received her box.
3. the sushi was okay, nothing worth bragging about. having said that, they did have a very large quantity of specialty rolls, and i like that. i also felt the rolls were borderline too big. the point of a sushi roll is to be able to eat one piece in one bite, and i found myself struggling to do this.
4. i felt prices were really great. everything on the west coast is incredibly more expensive than the midwest, yet the prices in the menu were comparable to ohio prices.

delicious fresh sushi. large rolls. it is loud and busy inside, but service is good. red dragon roll & rainbow roll were our favorite. love some tuna roll had lemon zest, which was unique but too overpowering.

casual asian fusion, good for families and large groups. so far everyone i have taken there has liked what they received. the menu has some of everything. i'm a vegetarian and they don't have a huge selection, but so far i am happy with the mizu salad and a green roll :-) and my dad complimented the fish dinners (salmon, saba). it's a bit pricey but they give you a fair size serving.

this does not seem to be the place for an intimate dinner. it's loud and it can be bustling. on the other hand, dad likes sushi and football, even if the niners lose. good for families and groups. if you do have a group, reservations are a good idea. i made one for 5 on a sunday, just in case, and was surprised at how quickly it filled up! they really did need the free valet service.

bummed that the teppanyaki is gone but the remodel looks very good. we ordered:
spicy tuna salad - awesome
soft shell crab app - i've had better
chicken teriyaki - huge portion and tasty
shrimp tempura - good
philadelphia roll - standard

all dishes are very nicely presented!

tip: skip dessert...the fried ice cream sounded good but was pretty gross (ice cream covered in cake then barely fried)
