mikla restaurant - the marmara pera hotel

dining at mikla restaurant was surely an experience of a lifetime. the food was absolutely stunning. and not to forget the best view possible of istanbul. as the sun sets, the golden rays just make everything look so beautiful.

the food we tried was absolutely brilliant. no drama with molecular gastronomy (thank god) true, good and delicious food. food looked simple but the layers of flavor, the after tastes and the textures highlighted the true hero of the meal "skill of the chef"

we started of with some amuse buche, there was a flax seed crisp with tomato and goat cheese, and a fish ceviche which was yummy too. the cream came with some cheese, butter and olive oil and there can be no match to olive oil and artisanal bread. rich, crusty and nutty.

my starter was a lamb heart with morel mushroom, which was beautifully cooked. although i'd expect bigger morels and cooked a little better. but with the texture of the lamb, it tasted really well.

my brother tasted the grilled octopus and i must say it is the best octopus i've ever had. hint of sweetness with cumin undertones. brilliant is the only word.

my main was the seabass, which had the best texture. the meal was moist and cooked to perfection where as the skin was curncy till the last bite. was served with mussel, baby calamari and roe. one hell of a combination!

for dessert i tasted the rice pudding. simple comforting, and no fuss dessert. there was a sorbet served with it, the tang complimented the the rice pudding really well..

i left my feedback with the manager about the morels, i hope they work on it. better quality morels would only add value. also i don't think playing brian adams songs is a great idea while eating fine cooking. or else this place is. 5 on 5.

lezzet açisindan süper, istanbiul'da bu kalite ve güzellik az bulunur. her yemek çok ince düsünülmüs, tabaktakilerin uyumu ve lezzeti müthis. sunum ayri güzel ve göz alici. servis ayni paralelde çok güleryüzlü, açiklamalar, sarap önerileri nefis. 160 tl'ye baslangiç, ana yemek ve tatlidan olusan 3lü menü seçenegi var, ayrica 240 tl'ye 6'li tadim menüsü var. bence 3'lü menü oldukça doyurucu ve yeterli. yemekler türk malzeme ve tatlarini temel alarak yapilmis, ama gerçekten özgün tatlar. sarap kavi da oldukça genis, fakat kadeh sarap alindiginda çogu yerde oldugu gibi verilen sarap miktari az. restoran 2 katli, üst kati teras bar, alt kat restoran. terastan manzara süper, önce yukarida bara gidip sonra asagida yemek yemek iyi bir tercih olabilir. sali aksami rezervasyonsiz gittik, yer bulabildik, fakat tüm masalar doldu, biraz sansliydik herhalde. müsteriler agirlikli yabanci, istanbul'da yasayanlarin gittiigi gör görül mekanlardan degil.

good food - great view - mikla is located in the center of istanbul, not far away from taksim. if you want to have a decent business dinner and show your guests a beautiful view of the golden horn and the bosphorus - mikla is the perfect place! especially in summer, when you can enjoy sitting on the large terrace, which allows you one of the most amazing views you can get. food and wine menu are very good, prices are accordingly. altogether highly recommendable!

located at the penthouse of marmara pera hotel overlooking the beautiful city of istanbul. wonderful views of the city while having lunch/dinner. very welcoming staff and extremely professional. elegant modern setting out with every detail accounted for.

when it comes to the food, mikla, perfects the quality, taste and presentation. we had the 3 course menu. for the first course, ordered the octopus which was superb served with a sour cherry vinegar dressing and side of soujok and artichoke. for the second course, had the manti which again didn't fail. perfect spices bringing out the flavorful taste. finally ended the meal with dessert of black mulberries a perfect combination of sweet and sour taste.

great food, nice service, outstanding view. don't miss the rooftop bar where you can enjoy the awesome 360-degree view of istanbul. barmen are so nice and careful, not crowded, which is really cooool.

gerek manzarasi, gerek konsepti bir basari klasigi olan yerdir.parmakla gösterilen, herkese degil; seçilmislere tavsiye edilecek bir mekandir. garson arkadaslarin hasin bakislari ve zalim tavirlari yer yer insani düsündürse de, felsefe yapilacak bir mekan degil, gayet net bir huzur yeridir. yazin tadi ayri, kisin balkonu farkli güzeldir:) tavsiye etmiyorum. herkes gitmesin)))

müthiş yemekler, müthiş servis, harika manzara. ama fiyatlar da maalesef müthiş. fiyatları böyle olmasa her hafta giderim. bir de bahar/yaz/sonbaharda gidin ve de yemek öncesi ya da sonrası roof bar'ın tadını çıkarın. i̇stanbul'un en güzel manzaralarından

istanbul'da daha iyisi yok. - sarap menusu , manzarasi, sunumu ve yemekleri üzerine söylenebilecek tek birsey yok.
artik a la carte yerine set mönü tadabilirsiniz.yemek yemeye gitmeseniz bile bir aksamüstü günesi mutlaka terastaki barda birseyler içerek batirin.haliç'ten bogaz'a en ggzel manzara kesinlikle burada.

bu restoran i̇stanbul daki en seckin mekanlardan. cok guzel bir ortami, cok iyi servisi ve her servis edileni cok iyi anlatabilen bir ekip var. manzara i̇stanbul u cevreliyor. ozel gunler icin cok iyi bir tercih. yurt disindaki bir cok ulkede olmayan lezzetleri bulmaniz mumkun.

en iyi manzara ama yemek orta - ama yemekler ok. bana çok methetmislerdi burayi o yüzden gittigimde çok fazla beklentim vardi. yabanci misafirlerimiz manzaraya gerçekten bayildi; ama yemekler orta. sarap menüsü güzel, servis ve mekanda güzel; ama en önemli kisim olan yemek avg oldugu için ben bir daha gitmeyi düsünmüyorum.

mehmet gürs'ün i̇stanbul gastronomi sahnesine armağanı bu enfes lokanta aynı zamanda başarılı kokteyllerini yudumlamak için enfes manzarasıyla değerlendirilebilecek bir yer olarak da düşünülebilir. ben öyle yapıyorum mesela...

yemekler lezzetli, mantı pek sevmem ancak ispanakli mantisi harikaydi. balik ve et vok lezzetli idi, ekmegi ozel ve kendine has tadi vardı. en guzel yani çilekli tatlının ekşimsi olması idi,ne kadar az seker o kadar iyidir bana gore. servis ritüelleri etkileyici bana gore yemeğin sonundaki peynir servisi fazlaydı. tavsiye edilir ancak çok pahalı, parası olan gelsin diyorlar sanırım.

menüden tek tek seçim imkanı yok, a la carte menü uygulaması var. üç kişi için üç set ürün seçtik, menü ürünleri miktar olarak minimal seviyede yani doyurmuyor, üç adet mantıdan oluşan tabak, bir adet karides ile oluşturulan tabak beklentiyi karşılamaktan uzak kalıyor, ana yemek tabaklarından fener balığı güzeldi, tencereden kuzu da tatmin ediciydi, masaya ikram olarak gelen ufak mezelere eşlik eden ekmek oldukça sertti, sunum ve servis 10 numara, manzara muhteşem. müzik seviyesi çok kısık, kesinlikle ne çaldığı duyulmuyor, ortam hafif bir müşteri uğultusu dışında gürültülü değil.
