messenger pizza & brewery

awful! i don't get it. people actually like this place? crust is like shoe leather. sauce is blah. did i mention my slices were burnt? oh, and the place is dirty. f!

great pizza, beer sucks. this place has excellent pizza. we simply love it however - they only have micro brews for sale. no bud, no coors. too bad because we are pizza lovers and would eat there weekly or more but we gotta have a beer

fun but mediocre.. if you like fun and different like jalapeno popper with pineapple then this place is for you. if you're looking for a place that makes great traditional pizza like cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers, etc pizza hut is ten times better. ouch, did i just say that... yep. here's my reason, pizza sauce has so much garlic that's all you taste, you literally get big chunks of garlic in every bite. the cheese has no flavor, it has to be some cheap mozzarella which would be ok if there would be enough to taste it or it was browned just a little to pull out some of the oils in the cheese. the pepperonis also are barely warmed not cooked. some people like that but if you've had pepperoni pizza with slightly crispy pepperoni then you know what i'm talking about. however, with this said messenger pizza seems to be a nampa landmark and you would be missing out not to get it a try.

don't think, just go there.. a friend was leaving college to go home for the summer so i said i'd treat her to lunch before she left. it's safe to say that i chose wisely. i got a regular slice of pepporoni pizza but it was far from ordinary- did i mention these pizzas are huge? they put two paper plates together just to hold one slice. did i also mention that both our slices only came to a little over five bucks? delicious, great quality, and wallet concious. i know they put their heart into the food.

overall the pizza was pretty good. but the apple bacon pizza was too sweet. it tasted like there was sugar added to it. there was black ash and soot on the bottom of the pizza. your pizza oven needs to be brushed out periodically to remove the ashes from incinerated flour, etc. the price was a little higher than it should be for thin crust with little toppings. also, i can't remember going to a pizza place that doesn't have a regular cheese pizza among their by the slice options . we were told we could order a personal sized cheese pizza.

great pizza but not sure we will come back - the service was awful. she was rude to us, other staff and just generally ruined the atmosphere. i don't care that you've not had lunch today - and i don't want to listen to you whine about it. bummer that the help deters retune customers.

went there on a rec. it was a mistake... service was pissed you came in and they had to work, pizza was cold and expensive, place was grotty portland. if you like that kind of thing, enjoy.

love this pizza!. been waiting 18 months to come back here after our first time to nampa. the bacon and apple pesto pizza was worth the wait! we will be back.

messenger's drunken goat pizza is comprised of goat cheese, figs, bristol bacon (a sweet and spicy creation from the neighboring brick 29 restaurant and sadly defunct b29 streatery truck), fresh arugula and reduced balsamic vinegar. now seriously, how could you not want to check that out?

bad service. third time there, first time sucked. went there second time because people i was with wanted to go there to my surprise service wasn't bad. third time ordered a pizza waited for an hour hour and 20 minutes!!!! never got my pizza and left.

great!. i love the atmosphere of the place! it is very unique and abstract. the pizzas are good and great portions for the price!

fantastic!. best "pizza joint" in the area. i love pizza and this place makes a fantastically unique and large pie. great easy going atmosphere, great selection of beers/drinks too. highly recommend.
