stunning views of the majestic bosphorus opening and the third bridge, this cute blue cafe will have you feeling serene. the ambience is quite nice with low key jazz in the background although it is very windy so bring a sweater!
do try: the shakshouka
obviously the fish is also stellar but something about this perfectly spiced dish is not to be missed! we ordered seconds
no need for: the helva
besides being forgotten and then brought way too late, it didn't float my boat at all. then again i m not a helva fan ordinarily, so if you love the dish you might enjoy it.
we started with a yoghurt/walnut/dil combo that was light and refreshing as well as sweet peppers. there s a nice variety of bread that comes hot, including cornbread. the salad was nicely presented and good.
the grilled calamari was nicely seasoned if a bit oily. the french fries were also much too oily, although they potato was good and fresh.
the levrek was grilled to perfection and really yummy.
although the service was friendly, they didn't bring us menus at all (they did for other tables) and two items we ordered were forgotten. overall, it was a tiny bit overpriced as well. still recommended if you re in the area though!
