the mighty meaty pizza was really good - who wouldn't enjoy a pizza loaded with four different meats including applewood smoked bacon?! it was large for the price and tasted surprisingly fresh (not mass produced). if you are looking for a quick and tasty bite of pizza in savannah i would definitely recommend mellow mushroom.

always reliable. i have been chowing down on pizza from mm for as long as i have been alive and figure i have eaten well over 500 pies! they are an atlanta tradition and have branched out across the southeast with well over 75 locations; every location i have visited has been consistent. the thing i like the most about mm is the pizza crust; it's light and fluffy and full of flavor thanks to the garlic/cheese/butter basting it gets prior to and after baking; it's truely one of the only crusts i actually eat in its entirety! this particular location is probably the nicest of any i have been to and is quite large. they literally have over 25 tvs positioned so every seat has a view of at least one; needless to say it's a great spot to catch a game. did i mention the beer? they have tons of selections on draft, including several craft and seasonal brews. while the service isn't the best (it's a pizza and beer joint for goodsakes, not bones), it wasn't terrible, just a little slow and passive. they also have great subs, including an excellent veggie option that tastes awesome with their homemade esparanza sauce; the esparanza is a creamy garlic mix that is great for dunking pizza crusts at the end of the meal...when you should really be done but can't stop eating.

loud! but has good food. quick in and out. i had the brutus with jerk chicken which was tasty and filling.

worth the price. a little more expensive than some pizza in savannah but well worth it. creative combinations and a distinct atmosphere churn out a memorable pizza experience.

the last three times my family has come to eat we have had to wait 15-20 mins for a table when at least 1/4 of the tables are empty in the restuarant. then when you do finally get sat it takes for ever for someone to come take your order. it stinks b/c this is
one of my favorite places but when you can't get served there is no reason to go. they are poorly run.

love!!. a personal favorite pizza place of ours! this is one of those places where we frequently find ourselves saying "i'm craving mellow mushroom today". not only do my husband and i enjoy everything here, the kids do as well...especially the pretzels!

good food, but make sure they don't mess up your order over the phone. they gave us a small and medium instead of 2 mediums and still charged us $33! make them read the order back to you over the phone!

this is a good restaurant. but i don't think it will be great until the kitchen finds a way to cut down the cooking times for the food. the pizza is amazing as are the wings, but the logistics of the amount of time that it takes for an order to vet to the table after it is ordered is mind boggling. this is the kind of chain that you'll never see in a major city.

hit the spot. as a tourist, i prefer to visit non-chain restaurants, but due to our lack of planning, we stopped in at the mm for a bite. friday nights are notorious for large crowds, and our visit was no exception. our waitress was attentive, offering us updates on our order. the pizza we ordered was tasty, and made me interested in trying an mm location near us. my only complaint was the restaurant is open, so the noise level was very loud, and difficult to have a conversation.

tasty!. a group of us ate here after golf and everyone enjoyed it. a few of my golf buddies are from the northeast and love to bash "southern pizzarias," but even they agreed the lunch was delicious. add some cold beers and thats a good lunch.

best pizza. this is the best pizza in savannah. i loved the fun atmosphere the restaurant had to offer. i can't sing this places praises enough. go there. eat the pizza. be happy!

mellow mushroom specializes in pies that come in some unusual taste combos. their funky q chicken with bbq sauce, bacon, cheddar and of course, chicken, is a favorite of mine. or how about their mighty meaty topped with pepperoni, beef, sausage and bacon

i was there on august 20. we ordered cheese bread and medium pizza. the pizza was delayed so long that our waitress that our waitress brought us a calzone. our pizza finally came but i could not eat it. it had parmesan cheeses sprinkled and baked in it also had excessive amounts of cheese. although our waitress was very nice and apologetic, the food was not as good as we expected.

mellow mushroom ranks among the best pizzas i've had ever. i would especially recommend the thai dye & the shiitake. both of them are just outstanding. i've also tried the all meat pizza & a fish one i can't remember. all four of them were excellent. i don't think you could go wrong with any pizza really.

my advice for you would be to be careful with the size you order. usually a large pizza suffices for 3 people, and a medium isn't much smaller than that.
