different. another taco stand with interesting fillings. the mushroom was tasty, interesting. not your abuelita's taco. that's a good thing.

this custom breakfast taco is very simple, but packed with flavor. we filled our flour tortilla with potato, cheese, bacon, and egg. we tried it plain and with the food truck’s red and green salsas. no matter the combination, these tacos impressed.

some parking. tons of seating shared amongst several food trucks. had the shrimp taco and it was amazing. the top shelf queso (ground beef, pico and avocado) was also great. it was a little spicy, but the good kind of spicy.

mellizos tacos is another south first district jewel who have mastered making the perfect taco. fresh ingredients with a punch of flavor is just how we like our tacos. we tried the beef and vegetarian taco and some hot tortilla soup. simple and delicious! give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

better than i hoped for. we wanted torchy's and gourdough's but since this was next to gourdough's i tried it instead. i was pleasantly surprised. these were probably the best tacos i've had. these are better than big truck tacos (popular in oklahoma). i would eat here again and recommend you try them.

i got the padre (photo directly above): braised carnita pork, pineapple, tomatillo salsa, avocado (which i requested be held). the pineapple was a great touch, and the flour tortilla was outstanding. (i vastly prefer flour to corn tortillas, so i was thrilled that every taco i ate in austin was in a flour tortilla. some places offer a choice.) this was probably my second- or third-favorite taco of the trip; i liked the bbq brisket taco at the peached tortilla best, and the bulgogi taco at chi'lantro was pretty awesome as well.

izzoz tacos is the spanish version of mellizo or fraternal twins and is located next to gourdough's . izzoz serves tortas, tostadas and is popular for garlic fries. izzoz tacos are more traditional fillings, the straight up classic tacos you initially think of. the escobar taco ($3) had carne guisada, pico de gallo and cilantro. the stewed meat and a soft texture and was quite hearty. the del mar taco ($4) with blackened tilapia, slaw, pickled red onion and chipotle aioli. the aioli flavor with red onion went well with the fish. advertisement rate this: share this:

great tacos. tempura shrimp, portabella, pulled pork, fried avocado tacos are amazing. the only problem is you need to sit outside in blazing heat while enjoying your food.

great value!. izzoz has the quality and creativity of torchy's but about a dollar cheaper on average.

disappointing. the fish taco was very fishy and the service was slow. the carnitas with pinapple was very good though. just disappointed overall.

izzoz tacos. really nice people but more importantly-- great tacos! for vegetarians & veggie lovers, the portabella tacos are spicy, fresh and full of great flavors & textures.there's a great view of downtown and bouldin creek and the atmosphere is pure austin backyard.
