had ordered shangai paneer. it smelled weird and tasted disgusting. hygiene is something that they don't maintain. it was an old stock i guess. price for the drinks was very expensive. only positive thing is that they have a good live band.
overall, not worth going

excellent ambience. the rice is exquisite and their meal preparation is quite sophisticated. service is quick and the live music is the highlight. however, items like the special paneer and raita were not as well made as others. overall a place worth visiting.

highly unprofessional staff!! they informed that they have seats for us. and when i asked my gang to reach there, they denied for the same. and instead of saying it politely, they said i didn't ask them.

one of the best places for a dinner. the ambience is charming. food is delicious and the quantity was right as well. the service as well was really good except for a couple of instances.
but the menu seemed a lil limited, rest was fab!

me and wife were there on our last day of sikkim trip and we had gone there for an early dinner and some drinks.

undoubtedly the best evenings here in gangtok of our trip.

i usually dont review on zomato as i use tripadvisor more but as zomato is all about food so, would like to share my feedback about this place coz i really liked it. its my 4th day in gangtok and my second visit to this place in these four days.

lets categories -

food : awesome 5* i have tried chinese and indian both were delicious. i am originally form delhi and a punjabi, people those who know about delhi will know that we have almost the best of all when it comes to food and punjabis are known to be foodies : ) so trust me when i say food is good here.

ambience : both time i visited, there was live music in the evening. so i believe they have it every day, its there theme and people performing there are also good. i will give them 4.5 * for ambience. they can be a little versatile in this category. they are right at mg marg which is kinda mall road for gangtok so no complaints on that.

service : staff is attentive and generous, i will throw an example, they see your beer glass empty or almost finished and they will run to you to serve you the rest from your bottle or ask you if you need to repeat anything, you don't have to wait to catch a sight of someone to call him ask for anything, they are really good at what they are doing.

rates : very reasonable considering there services and food quality and location they are still a bit cheaper than other competitors in the area, i can name some of them osm, yummy tummy, taste of tibet, food court etc etc. i have compared there menus and prices mehfil is still beating them in all terms.

overall guys this is a place where you can look forward to spend a good evening with some quality food.
