disappointment!. i used to frequent the midtown mediterranean grill and always had great experiences. now living in decatur, my boyfriend and i decided to give the location at clairmont and n. decatur a try. right off the bat i couldn’t believe how rude the staff was compared to the midtown mg. the food was good, but they really skimped on portions (especially the $4 plate of hummus). i’m a big believer in second chances, so we gave them another shot - this time with a to-go order. 30 minutes after placing our online order we arrived to pick it up. they mysteriously never got the order. strike one. the manager took our order again, and as a consolation he said he’d upgrade our small hummus order to a large one and only charge us for a small. turns out he charged us for a large hummus and “magically” forgot to give us a receipt with our order. strike two. we get all of the way home and realize that my entrée is not what i ordered (strike three), so i go back to have it exchanged. the manager tells me that, “no, that is what you ordered and now have changed your mind and want something else, but i will switch it for you anyway.” wow. strike four. all of this from the manager, mind you, not some hourly paid teenager. so now on my way home the 2nd time, mediterranean grill calls to tell me that my online order is ready for pick up (is this a joke?!?!?!).. i guess they finally found my original online order and were too dense to put two and two together. strike five. this is the worst example of customer service i have ever received from a restaurant. needless to say, i will never eat at this location again. if you want to eat at the mediterranean grill, save yourself a lot of time and frustration and go to the midtown location.
