this place is definitely on my favourite list, never expected that the food will be so good. though the place is famous for it's bar and drinks, the food is really amazing. starters were really good and tasty with perfect balance of spices and oil.

my favourite is the prawn satay and chicken barbecue wings. the prawns were really so delicious and it a completely unexpected experience. the chicken barbecue wings were really yummy and baked in a sweet and sour barbecue sauce. then comes the paneer makhni rice, this was quite a surprise. perfectly presented and it made justice to its looks. the taste was perfect. i did not have drinks but ordered mocktails instead. the cranberry and litchi mocktails were a perfect combo for the delicious food we had. last but not the least, mutton sukka it was quite different from the normal dish we may have tried at various places. it was unique and the flavours were really good.

this place definitely needs another visit just for the prawns.

best night! we went to mechanics on last saturday evening of aug 2019 after our tryst at solving a mystery at mystery rooms. we were 4 girls -vegetarian (1 vegan paavam) looking for a drinks + dance places. we looked for offers on dineout but realised we can't buy the girf offer on the same day. but we ended up at mechanics and we had fun. the food seemed like small portions for the price on menu but in the end the bill was not much. they gave us good discounts. we had liit and margarita and whiskey sours! complimentary shots dawgs!
the music was good. dj played a range of 90s songs between 8:30pm to 10:00pm. the ambience was good. seemed like we had people from all age groups around. this hazy picture sums up our fun girls night in chennai.

we were having your meal and suddenly the manager came and asked us to switch tables. we agreed. but then was later assigned a table after 40 mins. remember that we were already in the middle of our meals. this kind of behavior from the staff is really not appreciated. would have even given them a single star.

finally at mechanics :p the place was quite less happening when we arrived but then it picked up the pace !! dj was awesome tonight. loved the ambience. one of the places where we had a wide variety of food to choose from !! ordered crispy chicken lamb, amristari fish,pork sausage basket and chicken keema balls. everything was just perfect. after a few rounds of whisky wanted to check if they have some chocolate based cocktail, which few bars didn't have. the mixologist there gave me one which was perfect to my taste but lacked a bit of the chocolate flavour . ordered it again mentioning to ramp up the chocolatey flavour !! the next drink was heaven 😍 perfect chocolate drink 😍😍
the service was too good !! contrary to my previous experience, this is a must visit place !!

not even worth for 1 rating... worst behaviour by manager who said us to walk in even after booking but they did n't allowed us in... management does nt know to keep up their words... kindly never visit this place guys....

one of the best bar’s in town!!

the place is really awesome i always love the way they treat their guests . the drinks and food are also really good the way they potrey their hospitality towards their guests is really commendable . cheers to the team for the good work they are doing . keep it fellows :)

this place is really good and i love the ambience the garage theme is very well carried out. the staff is also very friendly and cortious they always make sure the orders are there on time good job team.

we were a group of 25-30 people and we tried a variety of dishes, but, the service was a little messed up. also, the staff seemed a bit impolite right from the point of entry to service on table. they seemed quite controlling. nevertheless, we had a great time!

i loved the korean popcorn chicken and dragon chicken the best. the popcorn was served on sticks, like skewers. the prawn satay was also quite good.

the burgers seemed quite dry as the buns were quite bigs and the patty seemed like rubber, quite tasteless.

the piri piri fries tasted great. the sausage basket was okay, it was difficult to differentiate the pork and chicken without tasting it.

they seemed to have put in effort in styling the food but it still needs a lot of improvement.

a decent ambience. this place is located right above gusto and is easy to identify.

another newbie restobar in town. the place looks good with the 'mechanics' theme. they've done justice to that.
the music was full on bollywood, so if you prefer english songs, u might wana skip this place.
coming to the drinks, they were okayish.
and food, we ordered garlic bread, panner sticks, burnt fries rice and pesto rice bowl. except the panner, which was bland, everything else tasted yum. especially the pesto bowl was amazing.
we also ordered a chocolate mousse for dessert. was a little too sweet but i liked it.
pricing is okay.
service is good.

one of the best bars you can choose to hang out with your friends. the staffs there are very friendly and make you feel at home. food prices doesn’t burn a hole in your pockets and taste is extraordinary. ambience is also unique.

the starters could have been a little better. the white sauce pasta was delicious and the brownie with ice cream was a perfect end to the meal. brownie so fudgy and yummy

i had white sauce pasta, cajun spiced hash browns, fish fingers and barbecue sausages. the portion size was small but everything was good.

mechanics! located at nungambakkam! this is a car themed restro bar! the ambience is good with minute detailing from the wall, tables and chairs! they doo have a car table to sit! coming to the food my order was bbq chicken wings which was tangy and a good combo for our beverages! so a nice location to spend with your friends with some chill beers!

was here on a weekday evening with friends.. ample parking, easy access and spacious seating.. the ambiance of the place is well thought of, right from their name (done using tools and parts) at the entrance near the stairs to the car themed seating layout and the hanging bulbs..!!  the music was bit loud, the service was quite fast..

loved the recommendations that came from the service team..!!

felt the food portions was less for the price being charged..!!

stuffed sweet chilli peppers - a must try here..!!
sate paneer makhani sticks - too good..!!
loved their fries and dips and their bbq chicken.. oh and not to forget their chicken malai tikka was also amazing..!!
