not a fan of this one... food is just ok and the service is even worse...

terrible job, terrible food,......all around terrible company. save your money. portland has some great restaurants. this is not one

they seem to have gotten their act together. i've been a fairly harsh critic of this location, but they seem to have finally gotten their act together. the last two times i've been there have been quite nice. today i had the portland dip (turkey/swiss on kaiser roll with dip) and the turkey chili.

the service was friendly and expedient. and the food was hot and tasty. can't ask for much more than that for lunch!

don't bother. i'm a fan of mcmenamin's normally - but not the one in oregon city. they've pared the menu down so as to try and offer speedier service (according to the wait staff). sadly, this move didn't help service and the menu items are so limited their menu is boring. the service is mediocre at best -- even when it's not busy -- which is most of the time.

this mcmenamin's needs a do-over top to bottom.

gem in oc. this little place tucked between the oregon city courthouse & the bustling traffic of 99e has some surprisingly good food! i had the crazy, plate licking good grilled cheese on this gorgeous marbled bread + apple butter. sounds crazy, but i thought about the sandwich about a week after i left! sweet, savory, toasted warm. yum. not to mention their hard cider on tap is to die for! be careful though, if you have 2 pounder glasses of it, you may be a bit tipsy…but feeling great! sometimes the wait staff can be a little less than ronald mcdonald packed with smiles and rainbows in their pockets, but what do you want from them? they work in oregon city! bonus: summertime is wonderful at this location as you can sit outside and people watch.

greasy food. tasted like the deep fryer has never been changed. gruff biker hag seated us.

the in-house beers are just not that good. the food was fair and service not so friendly.

immature service and attitude, decent food. a friend and i went there a couple years ago. the music was jamming and at a deafening volume. not conducive to a nice restaurant experience at all. we couldn't hear each other speak. when asked to turn the music down a bit, the response was "shall we put on some classical music for you?" these jerks think that they deserve their music while working, instead of what customers can tolerate when they're paying good money for a meal. then the mgr came over and we informed him that we are not old women who don't appreciate music. we are from san francisco and former hippies, art students, jazz aficionados and deadheads. how dare these jerks insinuate that we have no taste in music and that their comfort while working is more important than the customer? we haven't been back. i wonder how these jerks will feel when they're 50 and young people treat them as if they're over the hill. you'll get there suckers, and sooner than you think. show some respect and consideration. you're lucky to have a job.
