great food,great service

got the fire and smoke pizza and the veggie pizza. the veggie pizza had pesto sauce, and i am a fan of pesto, i don't think you could go wrong with anything pesto. the fire and smoke pizza was supposedly spicy. i guess, it's fairly spicy for an american tongue. i think they put chipotle peppers in it.

ambience was good. had to wait for 30 minutes, even though we had a reservation. but, it was saturday .. 8 pm, rush is expected. (meaning reserved for 8 pm, got table at 8:30)
on the plus side - free match boxes 😀

visit 2. went there on a monday. had reservations but didn't need it. plenty of available tables.
got 4 types of pizzas, all good. but nothing phenomenal or life altering. :) asked to make the fire and smoke extra spicy, that meant just more of the same sauce on the pizza, had a little bit spice kick. same applies if you ask less spice, they'll reduce the amount of sauce on it.

probably the worst dining experience i've had in a while. i can deal with average-ish food, but 30 mins for our drinks! there were tables in different sections that i watched go from empty to full, and got their pizza before i even got my beer...and the pizza was slightly better than say, dominos...very slightly. avoid!!!!

excellent service in a very interesting and well designed restaurant. soup, salad & pizza were first rate. i agree the the prices are high but they match the quality of food & service. recommended highly. please note, we were in for brunch and there were only a few folks in the place but i could see how sound levels would escalate if it was packed.

ok, not great, not awful 5 out of 10. this place has a nice setting and an interesting menu, the pizza was ok to sub par vs other higher end brick oven places i have eaten. the quality was on the low side, the taste was good. slightly overpriced for what you get. we also had the steak. it was cooked well but heavy on the salt, again not great, not bad. i did not rate this place as like or do not like, i will go back at least one more time before i decide, but the price vs. quality being a bit out of whack i do not plan to rush back there.

horrible service. i am under the impression people of color are not welcomed. couldn't even get a table as the hostess continuously ignored me and son. waited for more than 10 minutes, standing by the door as other clients were seated.
left the place and doubt i will ever go back.

overpriced average pizza. i like that you can get a half-and-half pizza. i chose the matchbox meat and spicy meatball pizzas for my combo. the food was alright, but it's a little overpriced. the server was friendly but a little slow even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. i wouldn't say i had a bad experience, but if the menu item that bears the name of the restaurant doesn't deliver in a big way, then i have to wonder if anything else on the menu is worth getting, especially at inflated prices. this location looks new and the ambiance was pretty nice. it might be worth trying once, but don't expect outstanding pizza.

great service and good food. the pizza was delicious but not worth the price. the restaurant is modern and beautiful. i would go again but not every week.

this is the second matchbox restaurant i've been to. both have been excellent. had the 4 cheese and italian sausage pizza. both were delicious.

bad food... salty and greasy both burger and pizza... so disappointed. and long wait, more than 45 min.

fun place. great outdoor patio and freindly staff. can't wait to come back!

sliders rock, pizza ok.. i've eaten here twice, and was overall satisfied with the quality. the service was lacking the 2nd time i visited, but mostly due to how busy they were. it's a loud atmosphere in the main room. i would recommend asking for an outside seat or one near the bar. the sliders really stole the show. the fried onions they are topped with are simple but delicious. the pizza was ok, but didn't steal the show. the fig & prosciutto one is the best. the drinks are pretty standard. they could really benefit from expanding their drink menu and experimenting more. i would return, but don't go expecting anything too groundbreaking.
