onion bagies were overcooked and burnt. more like dried onions!! main course tasted as though it was left over from the lunch buffet and hence probable reason when asking if they could cook a chicken korma rather than vegetable korma was told they couldn't change anything on the menu. vegetables in the korma consisted of peas and what tasted like frozen carrots with one small piece of cauliflower. not much in the way of chicken dishes with lamb and beef being pushed by the staff. servers were rude and were almost telling you what to order and insinuating that we couldn't know anything about indian food. before finishing the servers were clearing plates away with nan bread still to finish without asking. the only compliment was that the nan bread was good. staff were overly pretentious. have been eating and preparing indian food for over 40 years in various parts of the world and regretfully this restaurant did not meet the standard of food from the many indian street vendors.

if you don't mind salt. good service, fresh naans. ate there regularly with a friend at the lunch buffet. one day however, every dish at the buffet was so salty that neither of us could finish our plate. never been back.
we eat at curry garden now and are very happy.

always very good. delicious specialties made with fresh ingredients and an expert knowledge and pride not found in most other london establishments. staff always professional and accommodating. most importantly, the food is great, wonderfully flavourful, with a nice atmosphere and great service. naan bread and vegetarian dishes all first class. my family goes there or takes out for home dining at least twice a month as it is the best indian restaurant in the city.

it's pretty complicated to review restaurants like these, as the food is not that bad but is certainly not great either. if you are a sucker for buffet diners like me, it will certainly disappoint you. well, on the flip side, in a city like london where the indian food scene is pretty limited, you can't expect it to be perfect.

first things first, the spread has the least amount of dishes i've seen in any buffet. there were hardly 15-20 (i might be exaggerating) dishes, half of them curries. when we set foot inside, there were hardly any customers. the decor and ambiance were excellent and cozy. the spread consisted of the following:
pasta salad: pretty okayish. no complaints
cantaloupe slices: fresh and sweet. ate a lot of them lol.
onion pakoda: tasty and crunchy. ate a lot of that ;)
boiled chickpeas (are you kidding me?)
carrots and lettuce (meh!)
pickles and mint chutney on the sides.
chickpea- mushroom curry: i didn't like at all.
mixed vegetable curry: was okay.
butter chicken: the saving grace. it was yum.
tandoori chicken: best of the lot. was grilled fresh and was delicious.
fried rice: don't even get me started.
they served fresh-from-the-oven tandoori naans which went well with the butter chicken.
dal: tasty.
gulab jamun: tasty
phirni: tasted good.
ice-creams were okay.

the bill was 54 cad for three incl. taxes. it wasn't a meal to remember, but not a disastrous one either.

their service has improved over time; the food has always been good. our recent visit was very good overall. our server was attentive and knowledgeable. appetizers were presented hot and crisp, and the curries were really tasty as we'd expect from massey's. lots of vegetarian options and a range of spiciness. one of our favourites for indian food in london.

one of the good indian restaurant in london but a bit overpriced.
one should go for dinner and not lunch.
lunch buffet is not really authentic and mostly is overcooked and dried meats.
server need to know what is hospitality they are not doing any favour with their service.
taste is good only for dinner ala carte

go to aroma of india instead!!!! (or second option raja) i gave this restaurant a 1 star rating because i cannot write a review if i don't! definitely deserves a negative rating...coming from an indian who knows what indian food actually is, i wouldn't be wrong in saying that this restaurant is a f'n rip off. the food is highly mediocre but sold at a price which it truly does not deserve! to add to the poor quality of food, there is this one server in the restaurant (may be owns the restaurant) who serves as if she is doing us a f'n favour!!! if you are an indian student reading this, you probably know what i'm talking about! i'm pretty sure she sees every student as a potential future employee and doesn't step back in making you feel like one!! i have visited this restaurant several times anticipating any improvement in the service, but sadly it lead me to a point where i have to write this review! i regret every single dollar i spent here, so please save yourself your hard earned money, and have much better food at the restaurant i suggested, or any other restaurant for that matter!
you're welcome!

just returned from the buffet meal here and both my wife and i were impressed. when we first arrived just before noon the place was relatively empty and our waitress seemed to feel the need to apologize and assured us it gets busier.
the buffet was not mandarin like in offerings but with enough significant indian flavoured offerings to make it sufficient. all meals were good and the tandoori chicken and butter chicken were among the best we have had. mushroom matar and beef curry were also pretty good. nothing spectacular if you have room for dessert but fresh ice cream was appreciated.
this was a bright clean place, with very pleasant staff and the price is right- $15.00 before taxes and tip. good place to sample many dishes without burning a hole in your wallet.

went to massey's for the first time. my wife and i wanted to try an indian cuisine for once. we passed by it on king st. and thought it looked nice. we walked in and were greeted with a friendly smile and seated within seconds. the place has some characteristic feel to it. it would be a great romantic date spot as it is dark, but lit in all the right spots. now down to the food. it started with two complimentary jalapeño tortilla chips that looked like small birthday hats. from there we ordered chotte nawab, which is lightly breaded chicken that comes with two sauces to dip. we also ordered cheese naan. the naan was good, but the chotte nawab was even better! my wife then had the tandoori mix platter and i had the tandoori murg. she gave me some small pieces to try and they were delicious! we were feeing pretty full but decided to give the mango kulfi a try since it was on the lighter side. it was worth every penny and i will be back! the service was good and checked in about 5-6 times our whole meal to either fill our glasses or ask how everything was. my only draw back would be finding parking since its downtown on king/richmond.

food is okay but the fact that there is no better indian place in indian city leaves you with no other option. it is definitely overpriced and does not have that authentic taste. ambience and staff is quite nice.

wasn't a big fan of indian food until i ate at massey's! since then, i have tried others but they don't compare at all. i'm looking forward to many more great meals at massey's in the future. good beers and wine as well with plenty of nearby parking.

this is the best indian lunch buffet i've been to in my life, and i love indian cuisine. first of all i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised by how nice the interior is. the decor is tasteful and everything was very clean and elegant. they don't have a wide selection but everything they had was delicious. when i went they had these amazing vegetarian samosas, lentil dal, basmati rice with peas, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, mixed vegetable curry, some sort of mushroom dish, a beef dish, and a salad bar. their naan is made to order which means it hot and buttery and served right to your table. for desserts they had gulab jamun (delicious! not overly sweet like other recipes i've tried), rice pudding (not so great, tasted mostly like rose water), and vanilla and peach ice cream (the peach ice cream was brilliant, i had 5 bowls of it). i also tried their mango lassi which was creamy and not too sweet, exactly how i like it! the service was also very good but then again we went in when they weren't very busy so i'm not sure how that will hold up during a dinner rush. regardless, i will definitely be back for lunch in the near future!

went with the wife and another couple for the lunch buffet today.  $15/person + tax,tip

it was a good experience, nice staff and a nice place.  if you have not experienced the flavours that indian cuisine has to offer this buffet is a good chance to try everything

the food was ok, having butter chicken and a curry beef some pieces of meat were tough and other's has some fat on it.  some delicious naan was delivered to the table with the buffet.
