marketplace grill

loud setting, dodgy service, and incredibly inconsistent food, off their dated menu, this place was once quite good, but these days, it's mostly enjoyed by travelers and locals who haven't noticed how the quality has declined.
it doesn't help that they don't serve alcohol, and the waitstaff is usually young and inexperienced (they can do much better, elsewhere, after picking up a little experience here).

hidden treasure. restaurant off "main drag" but worth finding. two of us both ordered ribeye steak dinners. came with salad and baked potato. the salad came immediately and was cold and crisp with a little bit of everything on/in it. shortly behind the salad, came the ribeye (medium rare) and baked potato with salt on outside. we both ordered the steak and at first cut the steak needed to go back to the grill for about 1 more minute. the waitress waited while we cut the steak and promptly returned the steak to the kitchen with apologies. the manager returned the steaks, again waiting to make sure we were happy, this time returning with new potatoes. the ribeye steak was outstanding, melt in your mouth! potato was perfect.
atmosphere was open, but not so loud you could not enjoy the personal conversation with your table.
highly recommend and will look for more in other locations.

this place is great. i use them a lot for catering and get excellent feedback. i also eat here occasionally. i used them to cater my wedding reception as well. they are excellent. good service. great food.

i will definitely come back here again! service was excellent, food was wonderful. our waitress really made the experience great! the menu is well priced too.

stopped while in town to purchase a car. jessie was very attentive for all our needs. the food was outstanding. would love to have one in oklahoma city.

i have been going to marketplace for as long as i can remember. their chicken tenders are the best i have ever had (yes, ever), and the flaming queso is always a staple. whenever okayed the new interior table layout should be fired. it's terrible! it completely takes away the feeling of a "marketplace". they are trying to make it a higher class restaurant, but you can tell it just looks like a poorly done remodel with an attempt to close things off and make a more private feel - but this isn't what the restaurant is! please bring back the open floor plan.

the food was great at this restaurant, and if it was not for the service we would return to marketplace a thousand times. a mother of 3, ages 10, 9, and 11 months, we continually look for family friendly restaurants. immediately after being seated, our waitress brought a manager over who rudely demanded us to move our infant in a high chair to a seat location at the table so they could seat someone next to our table. as many mothers understand, with an active infant sitting the child away from the hot food on the table is crucial. as well as placing the child in a location both parents are able to help feed and attend to the child. had the restaurant been busy, i would have understood. however there were many, many other tables other customers could have been sat at rather than the table directly next to us where our infant sat partially in walk way to one table in a corner. i was appalled at how our family was treated, an infant at that. i will never step foot back into this restaurant due to their lack of family values and respect.

had a reservation for a party of 16. made well in advance. showed up to find out we would be split in two tables far apart. my only issue here is that they made no effort to communicate this prior to our arrival. showed up with all parties of several families from out of town and we're not informed that we would be separated. frustrating. for having worked in the restaurant industry in this area for years, there was ample opportunity and space to accommodate, but they remained unwilling. at the very least, let a guy know. locked and loaded with plenty of bad excuses though.

the bread is divine and the sweet potato fries with the dipping sauce were the best i've ever had. the turkey burger was even cooked perfectly. very good

the chicken tenders are among the best i have ever had. the flaming cheese dip is a cool touch and tastes great. would recommend to anyone in the springdale area. there is something for everyone at this place. the service, however, was terrible. after we ordered the waitress did not speak a word to us. just dropped off refilled drinks and the check. not a single syllable. it was odd.

has been restaurant. used to love marketplace but went last night for a "date night" with the husband and came out very disappointed. we ordered the prime rib and it was like we were eating ham! dried out, no flavor, horrible. we paid $20 per plate and it was horrible. we wondered why not many cars in the parking lot when the rest of nwa has wait lines of 30-60 minutes. we now know why. just after we were seated my husband kept having sticky stuff around his spot of the table. half way through dinner we discovered there was bbq sauce all over the tablecloth. on the sides hanging down and now it was all over his jeans. the salads were good but waiting a little while for them then our food came about 5 seconds later (we had just put our salad dressing on our salad.) the more the prime rib sat there it was drying out. the meat was like it had been microwaved and the top was really drying out. poured the au jus on the steak and it made no difference. my husband who loves steak only could choke down 1/4 of it. we also requested horseradish and it was watered down and not much taste at all. we had a gift card and was looking for a great dinner but will never return for a nice dinner again. also the bathrooms were dirtier than a truck stop. definitely not the same marketplace that was "the place to eat" just a few years ago. oh, one more thing, the scoop for the tortilla chips that the wait staff uses had fallen on the floor and it was just hung back up. no one washed it off or cleaned it. the manager was standing right there and never said a word! it will be a very long time before i can even go back there for lunch! worst experience ever!!!!!

unnecessary for what it was... huge caesar salad. they have a smaller version. free refills. slow paced service. meets expectations, but won't blow you away...

not worth it. i feel like i could have had a much better tasting food for less than a third of the price from long john silvers. i've had food from marketplace twice in the past month, once take out and once in restaurant.

the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice for me. it was very clean, well decorated, and even though they were pretty busy it wasn't super loud.

the first time i got a burger which had so little flavor that i didn't finish eating it. the second time i got the club sandwich with fries. the bacon was flavorless, but was the perfect texture. the ciabatta bread that it was served on had the texture of a lightly fried sponge. it comes with ham and turkey but i couldn't really tell that there was anything other than ham on the sandwich. the worst part were the hand cut fries which had an extremely metallic taste even after dipping in ketchup.

we got the shrimp appetizer which is an obviously poorly executed copy of the dynamite shrimp from p.f. changs/bang bang shrimp from bonefish grill. they were soggy and the sauce, which i've read is pretty much just mayonnaise and sriracha, was way too heavy on the mayonnaise, and this was still the only okay part of the meal.

while the appetizer came out almost immediately the waiter was slow to refill drinks even though he had been by to see that our drinks were empty, and our entrees took forever to come out. he later explained that he accidentally put a hold on them. i did appreciate that he admitted his mistake and apologized, but unfortunately that, and my dr. pepper are really the only things positive about my visit.

good food but the prices are kinda high for what you get. the california club was amazing though.
