main street cafe

what a wonderful surprise hidden in downtown garland. our first experience here was excellent. out of the ordinary menus selections is what i love to see, offerings unique to the restaurant. be prepared to take home leftovers, all four people in our party ordered something different and all four needed to go boxes. will definitely go again and try something new.

i wanted to leave before we even ordered. it's a spacious building with all the tables on top of each other. the food quality was terrible, the best part of my burger was the burnt bun. and any positive review i have read on here is actually from a server that i'm currently looking at.

owner this place very rude i was there with my dad  she fellow these people outside  yelling at them about tip. i feel sorry for people that all called for. i never going back there again that up person want to tip. also there no lockets on bathroom door.   food very bad and cold. also there was hiar in egg sald sandwich.

absolutely the best burger in dallas even though this place is in downtown garland. the grill puts out food that will knock your block off even though im a sushi and steak kind of guy. i went in for a drink one day and have been back every week for the last 8 or 9 months. good food and good people. one of those little places you'll tell your friends about

this restaurant is truly a gem. the quality of service was both unexpected and refreshing. the food was very tasteful, worth every penny, and it wasn't something churned out for the masses. my wife and i will definitely be back!

what a wonderful restaurant in downtown garland! i had the 3 salad combo and it was excellent! their other selections looked great too - someone close to us had a burger and it looked very good. although i didn't have dessert - they had a variety that sounded delicious. i can't wait to return. thanks for this quality restaurant in garland!

#1 restaurant in garland!!. i see it's overdue to have a review written and this restaurant deserves a great, recent review.
this is the best restaurant of its kind (tex-mex, italian, etc. would require a different review) in garland or anywhere nearby for that matter. it's menu includes home style cooking and burgers, fries, salads, etc. everything i've ever eaten here (and its been many times now) has been excellent. the decor has been updated and is welcoming and comfortable; the service is professional and spot on and the prices are good. this is definitely a place worth going out of your way for, but on the other hand, i don't want them to get so busy i have to wait in line to get in the door. though it would be worth the wait! also, we hosted a large group there recently and the set-up and execution were perfect. a great place for your group dinner. do not let any restaurant website fool you into going elsewhere in garland- there may be sentimental favorites listed higher in the ratings, but i've eaten at all of them and none beats main street cafe.

the inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, good family vibe. i ordered a jucy lucy burger and it was delicious, the fries are fine cut and good amount with the burger. their soup of the day was chicken poblano and it was delicious and had a good spicy kick to it. i recommend the place very much!

the corned beef hash is great and not mushy. the blueberry french toast is unlike any i've tasted anywhere, you should try it. the biscuits are tasty, but a little dry. the home fries are somewhere between a potato chip and thin-cut fries.

wonderful breakfast! the hashbrowns are delicious . . . different! service is great, too!

first time there! great service and food! chicken fried steak and peach cobbler were delicious. garlic truffles were a hit! will be back!

nana's is now the main street cafe. great place to eat, lunch or dinner. the food is awesome, the staff is wonderful and the prices are affordable. my favorites are the tammy burger made with ground turkey, the truffle fries and the soup of the day... they're all good! did i mention the desserts? they're homemade and hard to resist.

worth the trip. had lunch here today. great burger's my wife and i each had one. i had the garlic truffle fries, which i would not get again. just not jazzy enough to pay an extra 2.00 for. the wait staff was very friendly and were always checking up on us. this is the true meaning of a family owned restaurant.

the daily tea was also really good.

after lunch we walked the town square.

i will be back.
