fun place!. the meal started out with some homebrewed tea that took some getting used to. the more i drank of the little teacup, the more i liked it. i probably wouldn't be upset if i didnt get it next time though...
the breadbasket then came with citrus butter. kinda weird, not my "cup of tea" for lack of a better expression.
for an appetizer, we got the spinach and artichoke dip. it came with great crunchy bread, perfect for scooping. it wasn't what i expected and i probably would order a different appetizer next time.
dinner was burgers for both of us, both with caramelized onions and mushrooms. mom's burger had mozzarella cheese and mine had american, but the waiter (who took our orders without writing them down) mixed them up. i ordered medium rare and mom ordered well-done and he switched that up too...but we didn't realize it until we were almost done (that's how hungry we were!). but regardless of the mixup, the burgers were perfectly cooked and delicious.
after i showed off my mad hatter tattoo, we were treated to a free dessert of key lime tart. free or not, i've had better. i wasn't impressed with it. tasteless graham cracker crust and very very tart filling.
i will definitely come here again, though. i disagree with a lot of these reviews. the place did not come across as a bar, it was a very nice, clean restaurant with a great, friendly staff. i have no doubts that it probably turns into a raucous party after 10, but we were there at 630 on a wednesday in april. so no party for us.
