yummmmmmm. i went ;to lupe's for dinner and it was phenominal, i had the chimichanga beef and chicken, it was by far the best chimi i have ever had. i will return again, the service was also good, the surroundings are rustic, the portions were big so if you're hungry and love mexican goto lupes i promise you wont be disapointed

been a few years since we have been to lupe's. not sure why we stopped going but we will be back more often. very fluffy and eggy chile releano. pork in both enchilada and taco was moist and flavorful. salad wasn't much but didn't detract from what was a food meal.

lupe's is one of those places you just keep going back to. no innovation here - just good, dependable, flavorful ameri-mex food. i usually get a salad or a chicken chimichanga.  we've been going there off and on for 20 years and never had a bad meal.

lupes is our favorite mexican restaurant it has the best salsa anywhere fresh and homemade. friendly people.

don't judge it by the outside. at times, i wonder if the structure that lupes is in would pass an inspection. there isn't a level surface in the place... but it's fun. nice people, good food and it qualifies as a "hole in the wall with great food".

eh, just not enough to make me return. i ate at this place a lot when i was working in aloha, and i really got tired of the specials being the same (sorta) bland combination of chicken and drizzled sour cream. there's just not enough "zing" in there for me to want this over more authentic mexican.

the people are nice, the building has a lot of charm, and the portions are big for the price, so if that's your kind of place, you will enjoy it.

somewhat "americanized" but the food tasted very good. i had a steak taco with mole sauce, a cheese enchilada with a combo of green and red sauces, and a chicken tamale. for dessert, a very smooth and creamy flan. i will come back for seconds.

great!. my family and i have been going here for years! it is my favorite mexican restraunt for sure! and whatever idiot said you don't need microwaves in a restraunt has obviously never worked in one before. any restraunt you work in is going to have microwaves!! ha! over all this is a great family restraunt and i would eat here anyday over half the other mexican restraunts in portland!

great place. lupe's escape is great little place. the food is consistently good. i highly recommend the chicken mole', carnita's & chipotle shrimp. all are excellent. i'm not a chile relleno fan but my family loves them. prices are very fair. drinks are tasty and pack a punch. it's usually busy at dinner time so service can be a tad slow. it's worth the wait.

5 microwaves!!! count em, 5!! unnacceptable for any restaurant to heat and serve with that many microwaves. the place isn't even that big. i was shocked the last time i went to hear the doors slamming shut and the constant beeping telling the " cooks" that my food was done. i have a microwave at home i can " cook" the same stuff with. in fact that's what i'll do next time a friend wants to go to lupes. just have them over for frozen burritos. don't believe me? go see for yourself!

neutral. i have had better, it was 7 out of 10. service could improve, music they play should be more with their mexican theme. it is a small building, so you will find it hard to get up when others are sitting behind you.. the chicken did look like home made good chicken. the price was good. my wife told me she was not feeling good 2 hours after eating this. it is not authentic mexican food. it is one step above taco bell, maybe. it is an ok place to change it a little from the regular.

great find!. this is a great hole in the wall restaurant! a welcome change from beaverton's constant cooperation restaurants. my husband and i thought the food was simply delicious and the prices and service were great too. this will be our go to mexican restaurant from now on!
