boo to oversensitive, lonely haters that have nothing better to do than rip into and over analyze a local guy made good! this place is great!! prices are good, food is delicious and service is, well, the best around! i was in once and the next time was greeted by my name! place is busy, yes. but ask yourself why is it soo busy? yeah, cuz it rocks! everyone works together to make it a great experience. things happen at every restaurant. no ones tryin to "ambush" you dude, ( who's fretting over a .30 cent mistake!) ha! great place for families too! my kids love it! give it a try if your not already a regular!

my daughter absolutely loves the chicken tenders here, this is her all time favorite diner!!! they have a wide selection of food to choose from and it’s all very well made...it can get extremely busy on the weekends but it’s well worth the wait.

this place is a joke.  in my opinion the only good reviews are by the relatives or friends of the late owner.  reality is this place has gone way down hill over the years.  poor service with poor food.  soggy hash browns and scrambled eggs that look like a drunk made them on a dirty griddle.   won't be back again.

first and last visit. i was really suprised at the food because so many people had written good reviews, but obviously we must have been on different pages because the food sucked.

i did like that they offered a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy, since they weren't any good. the biscuits were kinda doughy and the gravy hmmmph home made my butt, it was packaged gravy they tried to doctor up, with what seemed to be brown and serve sausage and way too much salt. thats just the start of the meal. i had chicken fried steak which wasn't bad except it was drowned in that salty gravy, the hashbrowns had not 1 bit of salt at all. i think my eggs and toast were the only thing that was cooked the way it should have been. now my mom had eggs benedict and the dang sauce was the color of mustard 1st sign it was a mix, neither of us finished our food. and we will never go back.

the food is awesome, but the service is horrible. it should not take three slow waitresses to serve a table of two.

lumpy's is the greatest!. great food, good service! can't say enough good about it. as tony the tiger says, "it's grrrreat"!

don't need to go again. i don't know who was cooking on saturday feb. 13, 2010, but my first visit will be my last. nothing with syrup or gravy after 12pm was the greeting we received. we decided to split, try a variety, one breakfast and one lunch. reuben sandwich and over easy eggs with corned beef hash. the coffee was bitter, the fries were under cooked, the onion rings were drippy with oil. yes this is a greasy spoon but food should at least be cooked. the over easy eggs were barely cooked, the hash was canned and the pastrami on the reuben albeit tasty had a lot of gristle. very disappointing meal.

as far as diners go, this is as good as it gets! need a quick and cheap breakfast? skip the fast-food and pick up the lumpy's $3.99 breakfast sandwich!

had a bad experience here. sandwich was served on moldy bread.

got burgers?. great burgers and breakfast for a great price. love checking out all the hot rods while we eat. still waiting to see someone eat the 3lb burger
