one sunny sunday afternoon, a friend and i decided to head to lucca and try it out. it has a nice mediterranean feel. we were lucky on getting a table right away, but unfortunately, it was a small table, inside, in a corner. we were starving so we quickly ordered. for starters, i decided to have a lobster bruschetta and for the main course had the plate grilled wild sea bass. the bruschetta was yummy. it got over immediately as it arrived. the bread was crisp, the lobster and avocado had a very fresh and chunky feel to it and the hint of chilli and dash of lime just made us wanting for more. the main course took a while to come and the perfect starter just made us more hungry. once the food arrived, the presentation was really nice. and to their credit, even though, the fish was for 55 tl, it was worth every kurus. the fish was nicely done and the caramelised onions added the perfect accompaniment. i am personally not a fan of mashed potatoes, but it was nicely whipped and quite light with hints of herbs and my friend quickly finished it all off.
lucca is a great place for a sunday brunch and would definitely want to go back there again, especially to have the bruschetta.
