went for a bachelorette here this friday night. called in the evening for a reservation, they said it’s sold out. on insistence she agreed to give us a table for 4 at 10.30, only if there are any cancellations. we reached there & requested the manager to give us a table for 9. he immediately gave us a good seat. and to my shock it was half empty.
with so much competition in hospitality, i wonder does this pr stint of refusing a group a reservation helps? it’s a done & dusted method & i would like to notvisitsuch places who give a damn. instead go to a place that warmly welcomes you.
good food. good service. good music & ambiance. but wondering is that enough?
there were a group of middle age office men dancing & parked themselves next to us & were constantly staring, smiling & making us uncomfortable. like civilised people we informed the manger to which he came to me & said - mam if someone is staring at you, we won’t be able to do much about it.
i want to ask you what if i created a scene & slapped that guy instead of approaching you? you wanted me to do that?
isn’t such night life places have a sense of security instead of just placing dummy bouncers. shame!
