lobby lounge - diamond hotel

diamond hotel is one of the famous hotels in manila facing the manila bay. it has a lobby lounge which offers different cuisines that you will definitely enjoy. the excellent food choices are complemented by impressive service of their staff and attendants. the lobby lounge has a delightful and luxurious ambiance which is ideal not only for business meeting but also for casual and leisure dining with friends. definitely worth a visit!

i tried some of their pasta but it was just okay. i am expecting a little twist or some special taste to it since it's a bit pricey. i only took a photo of the dessert since its good. the chocolate cake is moist and the macarons are well created. i wish they have more dessert choices too.

a very delish food!! even though it was really expensive still i am really really satisfied. the chocolate cake was so soft,and smooth tha chocolate melted in my mouth! waaaaah! the strawberry orange shake was a good drink! it's not to sour. but the best was the diamond ensaymada and clubhouse speechless!till next time! 🍰🍫🍟

in the location you have two option either drink the cheapest possible sachet coffee and sit on the curve or sit comfortably inside the lounge and order a frappe coffee. i choose the latter which i dreadfully regret. let me paint you a picture, a tall clear glass dark coffee and whip cream with a side of sweet syrup. the taste well it was ok, i mean nothing special. the price? double the price of a coffee from a well known coffee hang out here in the philippines. i mean we are not talking about illy or civet cat coffee we are talking about a brewed coffee in an 8 ounce clear glass with ice and whip. i cant find any excuse for a coffee that would cost so much. next time i will be better off on the curve. partly it was my fault. i have some relative staying in their hotel and i waited for them in the most unfortunate place and before i asked for the menu i already said that i will be ordering some drink. since i dont want to waste her energy and i dont want to embarrass myself by taking back what i said i was kinda curious what an $8 coffee taste like. yes i am a cheapskate! but then again if it is worth it and i want to splurge, why not. but this is definitely not worth it.

a la carte breakfast and coffee drinks are on the pricey side (!) but not any more so than the best of the hotels that are in makati, on the other side of the pond. don't let corniche's diamond hotel's flagship buffet restaurant, distract you from the pretty cakes that are made and served here in the lounge, which include a walnut cheesecake, beehive-shaped montblanc tarts (thank you lord), and delicious ensaymadas, which can hold their own against's manila hotel's. i take a bunch of the ensaymadas home regularly, and they keep very well in the freezer if one can't eat them right away.

bago pa man magpakilala ang m bakery sakin, mayroon ng diamond hotel sa puso ko😂 nagsimula ang kwento nang magpunta ako sa bahay ng kabarkada ko sa cavite siguro taong 2015. inilabas niya galing ref ang cheesecake at inialay nang buong puso sa barkada. paborito daw ng pamilya niya ito. kaya ayun, dun nagbago ang buhay ko.. sobrang sarap kasi! ang moist at sakto yung level of sweetness! sabi ko sa kanila, “sino mang magtangkang magbigay ng goldilocks o red ribbon o kung ano mang kacheapan na cake sa birthday ko, mapapatawan ng isang matinding kaparusahan!!!” kaya naman nung nagbirthday ako that same year, isang buo ng cheesecake na ito ang bigay nila😈😈😈

no visit at diamond hotel is ever complete without buying their ube emsaymada at the lobby lounge. this has to be the most expensive piece of ensaymada in the market unless i haven't seen anything go beyond their 175pesos prices given the size of their ensaymada. good thing they offer 50 percent off on other pastries (with the exception of the ensaymada) once the clock strikes at 8pm. got a couple of macarons, a small sugar free cheesecake and a chocolate mousse cake. i enjoyed the cakes the most, the cheesecake was dense and had that distinct cheese taste without being overly sweet. the chocolate mousse was a cut above the rest in the market. it had 3 or four layers each with a different firmness. the mousse was smooth without being too creamy. the thin cake base was fudgy with a toasted crunch followed by a thin ganache. i love every bite. for the ensaymada, you can get it per piece or by box of 6 for a more elegant presentation. the ensaymada was filled with cheese and butter cream on top and the freshly ground ube inside was generous. evident by the ube on each slice of the sticky bread. recommended.

terrible service.
ordered high tea and confirmed with their manager about the availability of the salmon sandwich, to which she mindlessly assured the waiter that it was available. after a 15 minute wait, i was so disappointed to be given a beef rendang sandwich, as i don't eat beef sandwiches. imagine, paying 1k for a wrong order! and of course, i had to pay for it, since it will be charged to their account.

hotels should really really give a premium towards correct and courteous service. price aint cheap and this aint free!

i ordered 2 quantities of their tea time indulgence. ambience is good, coffee and tea are just okay. the set of pastries does not match as advertised in their website. their teatime set is supposed to be good for two, but some of the pastries were served in singles. in the website tea time was 2-6pm, but on the hotel ad, tea time was only 2-4pm. good thing we got here a little past 3pm. not recommended.

the cake club of diamond hotel - still for me has the best ensyamada in town, growing with it so feeling nostalgic while looking at the melted cheese on a vee gewey bun. the ice creams are good too suprised that it was only for 100 per scoop that's cheap
for hotel price.

their ensaymada is the best ever! really! chicken caesar is good too. i like the ambiance coz it's quiet, but not the deafening silence type. there's the hotel lobby background music playing. perfect for business meetings or 'me time'.

it was a great buffet experience in the ground floor lounge of diamond hotel makati from their pumpkin soup, to their salad, breaded cheesy chicken,sweets,fruits and their super delicious vanilla ice cream top with shredded almonds -super sarap! great!

they may not have the royal ambiance of the peninsula but the place is simply perfect the way i want it to be. quiet, elegant, relaxing, and with great quality dishes.

home of the best cheese cake in manila! great cakes, ensaymada, and macarons. they likewise serve quality teas, coffees and smoothies. decent salads, good sandwiches, and pastas.

when your family is checked-in at some hotel and when the suite room, no matter how big it may seem, still tend to remove your sense of privacy (yes, there's no place like home), you just got to head down to the lobby lounge, order a cup of coffee and a slice of cake (and ensaymada - oh they make good ones here) and spend quality time - with yourself! just find a comfy nook, and then you're set to a stress free, quiet afternoon! for the lobby lounge at diamond hotel, try their smoked salmon croissant sandwich, ristretto coffee and pastries!

i love the
old-rich feel of this hotel -- classic interiors, business travelers, entertainment,
traditional greetings and menus. the lobby lounge extends that kind of touch
with their cakes and beverages. their famous cheesecake is a must-try paired
with coffee. it’s a delightful hangout while doing some work on my laptop and listening
to their fantastic sax player. great for business meetings too. i recently discovered their sumptuous beef
pastrami sandwich – my newest love and favorite!
