lindey's prime steak house

went here for my birthday. the menu was all of sirloin and broiled shrimp. all i can say is that i should've ordered the shrimp. we ordered the steak medium rare and it was chewy. i only had two bites. and took the rest home. it is 14oz cut. we split it into two. the waitress judy was the best. very prompt and quick service.

we haven't heard anything about this restaurant but, we saw it from the road so we thought we would stop in. i'm so glad we did. the service was excellent we were seated quickly even though it was very busy. the menu is short and to the point. your choices are steak with a side of potatoes and sautéed mushrooms if you want to add them to your meal. the steak was cooked to perfection, the mushrooms were delicious as were the potatoes. the steaks are big enough to share. i enjoyed dining here and i will definitely return!

after reading the positive and negative reviews, we decided to have dinner here to see for ourselves. all of us ordered the most expensive steak and for the amount of money they charge for it should have been tender and melted in your mouth, but it was far from that. the hashbrowns were more like a potato cut into cubes and then flattened, the salad was just iceberg lettuce, a tomato, and a spoon size dollop of dressing, the mushrooms were ok, and the garlic bread did look like slices of hot dog buns as others have commented about and couldn't taste the garlic at all, it was just lightly toasted. our bill came to $200 and everything was just so so, including the servers

excellent steak! the sauce and salad dressing were incredible. great atmosphere as well. highly recommend.

one of our favorite local eateries is lindey’s prime steak house.  we usually go there for special occasions and we went last night to celebrate hubby’s great review and bonus at work.  this restaurant is very unlike the pickwick where we ate last weekend in duluth.  at lindey’s their menu is very small: we’ve never understood what the difference is between the two kinds of sirloin but we always get the top of the line since the price difference is only $1.00.  and you can choose shrimp or hamburger which we’ve never had.  we always get the steak. if you get there when they open you are seated immediately.  but get there about a half hour after they open, chances are good you’ll have to wait.  as we weren’t able to get there when they opened, we were prepared to wait and we were there early enough to get seats at the bar.  we usually have gin gimlets and they do it correctly at lindey’s by putting two filberts in the drink.  we’ve discovered that filberts are usually only included in g

by far one of the best hidden jems in the state! you must have the lindey's special sirloin because it is awesome! great service and they make you feel at home.

steak sandwich lunch. a friend and i went to lunch at lindey's as we had heard the steak sandwiches were delicious. we both agreed that the sandwich was indeed quite delicious. a generous amount of tender steak comes on a buttered and grilled hoagie roll. the sandwich itself would come as is, but you have the option of adding cheese and a variety of sautéed vegetables. i opted for sautéed mushrooms and pepper jack. service was very good and the food came out fast. the lunch menu is limited to the steak sandwich, a burger, chicken sandwich, and a veggie burger, but i don't foresee myself ordering something other than the steak sandwich, so i have no issues with the limitations.

best steaks in the metro area. great casual vibe.

hope you like steak. it's a limited menu but they do what they do very well. i love the steak dinners - not a huge fan of the sides, but that's just me. one secret about this place is that it is a great place to go for lunch. the steak sandwich is great and it's also a great price. you pay about the same as you would for a large jimmy john's sub for food that is ten times better, and the service is great.

one great steak house. ive only been here twice but to me this is the best steak and suberb service and one nice thing is no reservation.great waitressses and my hat is of to you people.

lindey's steak is amazing!! it's my favorite steak ever. i'm not a big fan of steak at all, but this stuff is good. they make the beat sauce ever, and there steak is cooked to perfection. i highly suggest this place any time your looking for a happy experience in your mouth!

fuggitaboutit. there is no reason to go to this place, the steak is nothing special and that's all they do - one cut of sirloin steak, or slightly cheaper derivations from the same sirloin cut.

the sides are nothing special and the decor seems to be the original from 1961.

save your time and head to murray's, manny's, or morton's.
or even the outback (about 2 miles away)
