my oh my i did not know that two glazed donuts and fried chicken would do together so well!! pair it with some sour sauce and it's the perfect mix of sweet and sour.

stinks to come here for the fried chicken when it opens in the morning, only to hear that they don't actually serve said fried chicken until 11am.  donuts a bit cool to have been made very recently.  kitchen is basically more than half the restaurant, but not very organized or fast.  good parking and cool decorations.  heard they've got new fryers, but if that doesn't also mean they start cooking chicken before 11, i probably won't be back.  which is too bad, cuz it's good chicken.

fried chicken gets a whoo hoo from us most days of the week. now add donuts to the mix, and we'll hit you with a big scream or our usual when food items really make us happy…shut the yum up! well after much anticipation and impatiently waiting (usher in a little side-eye) the f.e.e.d tx restaurant group has finally given us our own chicken and donuts spot, lee’s fried chicken and donuts (named after owner lee ellis)! before we ask what the hell took so long, let’s enjoy the moments and deliciousness in between.

the fried chicken  was juicy with just the right amount of crust. i liked that you get to choose what pieces of chicken that you want when you order a 2 piece! you're not stuck with all white, all dark or mixed that most places just give you whatever. the sides we had were mashed potatoes with gravy, potato salad and coleslaw. each were good but our fave was the mashed potatoes with gravy. we tried 2 of their dipping sauces too. bacon jam and hot sauce syrup. i could drink the hot sauce syrup it was that yummy and the bacon jam was really good and my spouses fave. i'd like the bacon jam on a sandwich vs as a sauce. just my personal preference. of course we had to try the donuts too! we tried 3 different ones. a bacon one, a vanilla cake glazed one and a chocolate glazed one. sorry i forgot the names of them. all were moist and delicious! my only complaint is that there is not much for seating inside. i think it was 3 tables and some barstools along this super narrow table along the window. probably going to have to get your stuff to go unless you get lucky and get one of those few seats. it was pretty crowded when we were there. can't wait to go back!
