le macaron

delicious delicacies with amazing service! one of my favorite places to stop.

what a surprise!. i love trying french food. but every time i've had a macaron it has looked beautiful but tasted strange and plasticky with favors that are off... i wondered into this little shop while exploring park ave and was amazed. the customer service and passion for their product is top notch. these things are beautiful! so many colors and spot on favors. they are so light and buttery. i am convinced the person who makes these is a sorcerer because they are magical!

i tried the macarons, cappuccino and gelato. everything was great. the cappuccino was excellent, and it looked beautifull when served in a mug.

i absolutely love this place. having been born and lived most of my life in paris, i have sometimes missed home since moving here, and could never find a place that sold anything that even came close to the food from back home. i have tried every "french" bakery that exist in the areas i've been to in america. but none of them come close to this one! there are so many different flavors for the gelatos and macarons, and each one of them are spot on. the store is adorable, the owners are passionate about what they make and sell, and everything inside is so delicious. don't miss out on the beautiful chocolates that they have too! they taste even better than they look. truly works of art. i have nothing more to say other than this has to be a must stop for everyone in the area!

the macaroons were alright. i don't think they were worth the price. i got six of them and two of them were not cooked properly. overall i probably wouldn't go back.

ok, but not great.. the macarons are ok, and that is all they are, pretty but not great, just ok. the same can be said about the gelato. people go out of their way to make "new" flavors, when all they have to do is serve some classics. the gelato flavors just like the macarons, where not quite there.
would i there eat again? if i'm passing by i would, but i would not make this a destination for me.

went there for valentines day for the first time and everything was amazing (: they were very nice too, great customer service (: will deff be back soon!

my friend and i were so excited to find a macaron placr in winter park! we go out there for dinner every month so its nice that its right there. i had never had a macaron before but was dying to try them. i was more than pleasantly suprised. i got the the box of 6 (which came out to a little over 11 dollars with taxes) and got the raspberry, cassis, coconut, colombian coffee, mint and white chocolate, and i am drawing a blank on the last one (ugh!!!!) of all the flavors, cassis and the raspberry were amazing!!! nice hard outside with a soft inside and full of flavor. the others were tasty as well but not as much flavor as the other two. all in all, i will definatley be going back cause im totally hooked to these tasty little french treats!

love this place. i pop in here every time i'm on park ave because their macarons are so delicious. the owners are also very sweet. try the salted caramel and black vanilla, you will not be disappointed!

the whole reason why i like to go to downtown winter park. le macaron is adorable and is located in beautiful downtown winter park on park ave.
the black madagascar vanilla and the salted carmel macarons are to die for, but so are the rest.
i definitely recommend this place.

sooooo gooood. omg i am coming here with a few hundred dollars for my birthday and going to totally stock up!! it is so addictive!!

macarons, not to be confused with macaroons, are a type of french cookies that were completely new to me. i always knew macaroons as those coconut cookies that seem to cross all cultural boundaries, found everywhere from kosher food stores to vietnamese markets to latin-american markets. it seems like the whole world loves those little mounds of coconut, so when i first heard about french macarons from droolius at a foodspotting dinner, i assumed these were the same type of cookie. apparently the difference is more than one less 'o' in the name...  a couple months later i visited le macaron in downtown winter park to finally try a french macaron. le macaron is a little shop tucked away in an alley off park avenue. macarons are the main focus of this shop, but they also had a very limited selection of chocolates for sale as well. there was a gelato case too, but it was empty on the day i visited. at $1.80 each the macarons were a bit expensive for the small size of the pastry. regardles

fabulous little place!. we went on a quest one saturday morning to try these little macarons we had been hearing so much about. it took us a few minutes to find this little shop due to the fact it's hidden in the small corner of a covered open air mall and resteraunt on swanky park ave. when we arrived we were greeted by the owner/baker an authentic frenchman with a thick accent who gladly took the time to explain all the flavors of macarons, truffles, ice cream and coffees and give us samples. almost $68.00 dollars we left with six macarons, four chocolates and two coffees and absolutely loved every bite and will defiantly go back!

something different. le macaron offers a different option to cupcake shops and frozen yogurt places. they have a delicious assortment of macarons, truffles, and gelato. i have tried the salted caramel macaron (which was amazing!), the white chocolate and mint macaron (very good but not as good as the salted caramel), and the chocolate banana truffle (very creamy and flavorful!). it is hidden back in a cute part of winter park and is a definite must try!
