we opted for their 'regular banquet' that came with a free sparking wine, 9 dishes and an identical dessert each. the highlights for me was the wagyu cheesesteak spring-roll and the tea smoked duck pancakes. the atmosphere was great with attentive waiters, who were amazing in explaining each of the dishes that came out.

came here on our way through melbourne thanks to the recommendation of a few friends.

for the location, easily the best bang for your buck i've found so far. with that being said, the quality of the food was still top tier. the only small mark against them aside everything else being great was the time it took for our food to come. approximately 30 minute wait time from ordering to receiving our mains.

aside from that, a flawless experience. great food, staff and decor.

loved it. excellent service, seated promptly outside in a nice sunny spot. our waitress took our order by memory.
by far our favourite dish was the crispy buttermilk chicken bao burger, wow, best bao i've had. so good.
we also enjoyed the chicken ramen, kimchi fried rice snd pork belly bao. the prawn and bacon wontons were a real hit.
nice cocktail list too.

first of all love the name! the ambience is quirky and fun! the staff was so patient and well versed with food. would absolutely recommend the soba noodle salad specially if you’re on a diet or counting calories like me! you will find dishes that are healthy and nutritious! we absolutely loved the peach blossom cocktail 🍸 thumbs up and bon appétit!

came here with a last minute booking with a friend on a saturday evening.
we were seated by the window and had about a 2 hour time period to eat, which we were fine with. the menu was given and we decided upon the people's banquet for $49pp. we also wanted 2 cocktails ($15 each), one which has popping pearls and jelly. despite how good they tasted, service to actually order took a while and we had an imposed time limit by them.
the foods ordered were in general of pretty good value and very much asian fusion.

1. sashimi with a kohlrabi salad - it was nice, i'm personally not fan of cabbage but it's hard to get sashimi wrong if you have high quality ingredients. 4/5
2. wagyu and cheese spring roll- light crispy outer shell with a rich beef filling which oddly reminded me of a big mac. the dipping sauce was creamy. 3/5
3. spicy prawn and bacon wonton - we felt this was underwhelming. it was nice, the topping tasted sort of like xo sauce but not a stand out. 3/5
4. pork belly bao - easily the stand out dish 5/5. the bun was light and fluffy, the pork crispy and juicy with the right amount of salad and dressing.
5. crispy smashed chicken - a generous serving a fried chicken. the sambal was amazing in which we asked for more and the ginger shallot topping not too bad. it was quite a heavy dish, my friend squeezed lemon (from her cocktail) onto it to give it freshness. i think a salad should have accompanied this to accentuate the flavours more and break it up. 3.5/5
6. nutella gaytime bao - warm comfort food a pan fried bao with a half a daytime ice cream drizzled in nutella and marshmallows. hard to get wrong. 4/5

the overall it was worth its price and the cocktails amazing.
if the service was a bit quicker and small changed made this could easily be a 5/5.

i went to lazy su on friday, first of all it took the waiter about 20 minutes to ask what drinks we would like, then when it came time to order i informed him i was a coeliac, he then replied “congratulations” in a smug and sarcastic way. i do not appreciate being congratulated for having a disease that does not allow me to eat certain foods. personally i was extremely upset by this and for that reason, i will not be returning. the beef was also hard as rocks and had to be returned.

i’ve been here several times - seems to be a real hot spot in canberra. i love the look of the place, very hip and kinda quirky. the menu is thoughtful and asian inspired. they are great with modifying banquet items too. the banquet is very decent. i haven’t seen this on their menu for awhile but their take on a bibimbap was great and i thoroughly enjoyed it. they have a good drinks list, they have my fave, flavoured soju - yay! their cocktails are also fun. service from the staff can be a hit and miss, it’s never consistent for me.

i’ve been to lazy su, a modern asian eating house in braddon, a few times now so i’m just going amalgamate it all here. the menu is split into small and large plates, raw dishes, salads, soups, rice dishes, and desserts. the first time i dined at lazy su, my friend and i ordered the popular wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls ($6 each). that’s right, spring rolls stuffed with soft beef and cheese. it was served hot, straight out of the fryer, with equal portions of beef and gooey hot cheese. delicious! it was difficult to stop at just one each but we thought we had better try more items on the menu.

a bit too dark and muggy if you’re sitting on the back on a hot day. the wait staff got our order wrong three times. good flavours for most of the dishes. wagu cheeseburger springroll was too heavy. cocktails were more very much on the sweet side. i’d give it 3.5 stars if i could. $70 per head with cocktail

lazy su is anything but lazy - with bookings taken for 2 hr slots there’s always a fresh batch of patrons waiting for your table. everything on the menu reads and tastes delectable. loved the coffee chicken. try the mocktails - my favourite was the blackberry. desserts are chocolate rich!

i went in with high expectations and they met all of them. the food is absolutely unreal, my partner and i both went for the buttermilk fried chicken ramen dish and it was to die for. if you go you have to try the wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls! the staff were lovely and the music was up-to-date which was really nice. will definately be going back soon!
