i live in the area and was referred by a usual customer. i sat at the bar nice and clean no problems seemed like a nice place to come again to. until my camarones a la diabla came. i know my shrimp and to charge people $16 for 8 tiny little shrimp is just offensive. i ordered to go and literally recieved a box with lettuce, beans, some red sauce and 8 small shrimp. now as soon as i realized what i was served i turned around and brought my food back, not touched at all, but highly irritated i had waited 30 minutes for 8 shrimp some lettuce and beans. now normally if you go to any restaraunt even mcdonalds if you are not satisfied with your food you can return it no problem. mind you i hadn’t ate any of the food and simply said that i had a problem with my food and that i wasnt happy with it and would like to return it for a full refund. i was not rude but more disapointed at the fact i would have to now go get food somewhere else but when i asked for a refund the rude staff, 3 in particular, made it a point to literally argue with me at the bar and refuse to refund me for the food i paid for. when i stated the problem they argued agressivley and loudy that they couldnt do anything because they gave me what i ordered. they then asked me, “ what are we supposed to do with the food?” i stated i wanted a full refund before one short young employee told me that every mexican restaraunt gives you 8 shrimp, as if at this point i really cared what his opinion was. i was then told that i could never come back even though i never would, and was refunded only $20 for half of the meal when i paid for $28 worth of food and left it all on the counter. the cocky waiter rudely slapped 20 dollars on the table and told me to keep the change even though my bill was 28 dollars and i had repeatedly asked for a full redund. at this point i was highly irrate and said i wasnt leaving until the police came, and if it wasnt for a customer at the bar who saw my purchase and handed me 7 dollars i would have stayed until the police came. the rude and clearly broke staff members were so hard up for the 8 dollars i was never refunded that they were willing to fight and argue as if it was out of their own pocket. this just shows this place clearly needs every penny they can get. i literally wipe my ass with 28 dollars, but my business would have been worth so much more, sad it had to turn out this way. i get better servings at the burrito trucks for less. so many other clean and more affordable mexican restaraunts in vallejo, i guess what i get for trying to save some tine.
