affordable pub food in an amazing victorian atmosphere. dipco has been a downtown lancaster gem for 20+ years. one of the best places to hear original live music on friday's and saturday's (mostly of which i would categorize as adult indie, americana, folk, etc). dipco is areas version of a greenwich village bar. located in a restored victorian home, the spot is one of the most beautiful bars i've ever entered and the owners do it justice year after year.
choice in tap beers seems to be skewed towards ipas, but they usually have a token wheat beer plus guinness is a staple. the menu is typical sandwich, pub fare. they don't have a deep fryer, so no french fries. there are enough vegetarian options and stuff like nachos, etc. that can be easily modified for veggie lovers.
i usually get nachos or the black bean burger which is flavorful, but on the dry side. make sure you get it with a condiment (*cough, cough, the guacamole *). food wise it won’t be your most memorable meal, but ithe bohemian crowd is always friendly, even to strangers. overall dipco is on the short, short list of best bars in town.
