la pizza

great pizza in delmar boulevard. pizza is great! been there twice since i discovered them 2 weeks ago. my wife and 3 boys love it. the staff is very nice and it feels like you are eating in a house. can't wait to go again!

terrible customer service and business plan. this place has decent pizza, but their customer service and business ethic is deplorable. go anyplace else for a more consistent and better experience. they never stick to their posted business hours and don't honor promised services. i phoned two days ahead for a party order. the owner told me it would be no problem and to call in on the day to place my order for multiple pizzas. he said he would "note" it and that they would be open until 7pm that friday night. i called at 4pm to be told they were closing early. then i was hung up on by the owners wife when i said that it was unprofessional to handle their business in such a flighty manner.

they post their hours on their website, but there had been multiple previous occurrences of phoning an hour or two before their close and being told they are closing early. this is why i called two days in advance.

if you actually want to eat, go someplace else where they know how to treat customers.

la pizza is terrific!. not only is the pizza terrific but the service is awesome. they stayed open after closing hours to make pizza for my two sons and me last week (the flight from boston was late and the luggage was impossible! but la pizza stayed open (after i cell phoned them) and made my boston son's day! he claims it rivals anything he can get in boston! we love it!!!

excellent pizza. stopped here last night to get some dinner before the el monstero concert at the pageant. upon walking up and entering the joint, not so impressed with the decor or building (its ok, nothing shabby or dirty, just could use a bit of "freshening" here and there)... but after taking some bites out of the steaming-hot pizza quickly delivered to the table - wow. we ordered a small [14"] with ham and pepperoni, and added sausage to my half, plus two drinks, total bill of ~$15. the crust, sauce/cheese, meats were all very tasty. service was friendly. much recommended, and will be stopping by again.

amazing!. every friday we get the delicious, true nyac pizza. but sometimes i just can't wait and have it maybe 2 times or 3 or 4... i just cant resist.

true ny pizza. the only place i've found in st. louis that serves true new york style pizza. the crust is the perfect thickness and has that delicious, chewy texture. perfect sauce-to-cheese ratio. the best!

stromboli delight!. ordered the stromboli and wife and i loved it....paul and staff was very attetive and quick to serve up the delicious treat. order it and you won't be sorry!

it's all about the crust!. yes, la pizza is authentic new york style! from the fresh and chewy crust to the perfect blend of toppings, pure delicious! thio it seems genuinely italian, here's a twist: the owner and his 3 sons share a heritage of puerto rican and scotch-irish. they work together to create a friendly and jovial atmosphere. whether you choose pizza, calzone or stromboli, you will not be disappointed!

finally a really good pizza place in st. louis that serves ny style pizza. we tried for almost 2 months finding pizza worthy of my pallet. la pizza in u city is my home away from home. the guys are from queens so i have that nexxus with them from my st. john's days in college. the quest for a good pizza joint in my new city is complete.

the best pizza in st louis!!. while craving ny style pizza one sunday afternoon we found this pizza place called 'la pizza". we stopped and to my surprise the owner was newyorrican we ordered a pizza with pepperoni, garlic with lots of cheese. the dough was so fresh, yummy and perfect ny style. the sauce was very balanced, not too tangy or acid and very tasty. the whole pizza was to die for. the owner was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. i live in south city but the pizza is so good that it is worth the drive. i would highly recommend la pizza.
