la milpa

not impressed. had several recommendations to eat there so finally i did with a bunch of friends. we got our food to go. carie masada had no meat in it.... all beans and rice and meat was flavorless. not in a hurry to go and try it again

the food has always been good. however the service here needs some definite work. overall a good recommended mexican restaurant in milpitas.

love the food. friendly everytime i go in. i enjoy eating the shredded beef taco. they are the best in the south bay area. i wouldn't go anywhere else. im always disappointed when i do. i've been going here for many years. so glad my grandma introduced me to la milpa. two thumbs if you ask me.

horrible customer service! owner very rude and mediocre food. mole has terrible flavor.

server was attentive. tortilla chips would have been beeter warm, salsas were both spicy. chicken tortilla soup was full of chicken, mushrooms, cheese, tortilla strips, etc. not spicy. combo fajitas for two came with more than enough meat, but no cheese nor sour cream. beef and chicken were very tasty. guacamole was obviously freshly made and very tasty. although the food was food i would try another mexican restaraunt before coming back.

tortilla soup. few dishes encompass this sort of range - from crunchy chips, to juicy, firm chicken, to smooth, melted cheese. all the flavors and textures blend so well together in this mexican classic. the broth is one of the most savory and delicious ones i have ever sampled, second only to okayama's chicken udon. it's a very satisfying bowl of soup.

la milpa (mexican). la milpa has the look and flavors of a great mexican restaurant. many of the dishes are great. a highlight is the tortilla soup, full of chicken, tortilla chips, mushrooms, and melted cheeses. their tacos, though, can be very bland. on the walls, la milpa has a collection of carved out 3-d scenes, complete with lights and all. service is fast, but wait times can be lengthy. this place is definitely a good choice if you're in the area.

mediocre at best. highest rated mexican restaurant in milpitas, so we gave it a shot when we stayed out here. service was ok, food was mediocre. chicken quesadilla, beef burrito, chicken fajitas were all pretty greasy and without much disctinct flavors. margerita was made from mix and overly sweet.
bit of a disappointment based on the 80% rating at the time.
