the food was awesome. however, the service was not. the server asked for our drink order literally seconds after we were seated, and he kept rushing us through the appetizer course, until i told him directly that we wanted a leisurely dinner. after that, we barely saw him. he also wasn't too clear on some things where i would expect knowledge. examples: they were out of the ipa i wanted, and he started reeling off a list of beers that were also "hoppy," including bud lite! he also asked me if i wanted him to let the wine "air out!" i said yes, so immediately after he uncorked it he wanted to pour and i had to ask him to just put it down. i don't think it's too much to ask to be able to use a table for two hours if i'm spending $300. the restaurant was busy, but not full. the table next to us was never used. this is a great restaurant food wise, but i'd still say barrio cafe was better, because of the service.
