fabulous lunch. a friend and i met for lunch here - neither of us had tried it before. the service was lovely - attentive but not overso, and there was no rush i.e., they accommodated good friends and their timecomsuming much-to-share. now, the food! we both had the short rib soft tacos, and they were incredibly good. the short rib meat was cooked to perfection. lastly, the wine - rancho sisquoc, i believe cab, was excellent, and the price per glass very fair. great place!

i want the white sangria recipe!. this is such a unique venue with great indoor/outdoor space that flows nicely. the mac n cheese, steak tacos and grilled salmon were wonderfully flavored and cooked to perfection. we sat on the airy patio and enjoyed the evening breeze and found ourselves seated right next to the beautiful urn fountains. the highlight was the amazing white sangria, get a pitcher, it's good to split with 3-4 people easily. this restaurant is a great find in pasadena, a few blocks away from downtown and right next to the metro station, it's a peaceful hideaway that's very close to my heart. i hope to be back very soon!

nestled in what used to be pasadena’s del mar train station. the operating philosophy is “food is love” and well, you can certainly tell they love grub. they serve all kinds of it. there are taco platters, there are short ribs, there is ceviche. they seem to have a little bit of everything.

as for the place itself, its very californian, very neighborhoody.

best ribs ever!

if you are hungry and want to eat realy good meat, you should definitely try juicy stake or ribs that melt in your mouths. as if that was not enough the service is excellent! please, ask for stacy and she’ll make your dinner very special!

they are cutting back. we use to love this place. they had excellent food, a quality well in the bar, and the atmosphere lively. i assume they are making a good profit so i don't understand why the food had changed from excellent to good and the well has changed from excellent to off brands. sadly we no longer go to this restaurant.

it was a monday night. i wasn’t in the mood for anything loud or crazy. i wanted something mellow and quiet. my old age has brought me to la grande orange cafe in pasadena — a somewhat under the radar, though not a hole in the wall restaurant, that is a bit on the boring side. the inside was interesting though. it had different rooms with different themes. adjacent to the restaurant is the metro gold line, del mar station and some luxury apartments. the area certainly isn’t old town pasadena. it’s quiet, a bit boring, and kind of nice. the shredded kale and quinoa salad was refreshing and packed with nutrients. the crunch from the sunflower seeds was appreciated. sweetness from the flame grapes and citrus from lemon was a nice combo. with a fresh shaving of parmesan, the salad was rich and flavorful, with a nice summer zest. kale is slowing becoming my new favorite green. last year, brussel sprouts have been getting popular. never having it in a salad, the brussels sprouts salad was ne

missed opportunity. i wish i could actually write a review on the food. unfortunately my family received such bad service, um, correction, no service. we literally sat there for 10 minutes while not even a single wait staff bothered to ask us so much as our drink order. it wasn't busy, there were plenty of staff, except we were categorically ignored. waste of my morning!

great experience. went here with a friend based on a recommendation. the place is large and nicely decorated. all of the staff were very nice and attentive. the beer and food selections were rather small, but the few options they had were good. i ordered the surf and turf tacos, which came with small, fresh tortillas, lobster, filet mignon, salsa, guacamole, etc. i have never had a meal quite like this and i thought it was excellent. the filet was a little better than the lobster, but i enjoyed all of it. portion sizes were great. our waitress talked us up after the meal and also brought us complimentary chocolate chip & sea salt cookies which really hit the spot.

i dine here at least once a week. our office is just a couple of blocks down the street, and we walk here for lunch at least once a week. it's usually quick, and the food tastes freshly-made and delicious.

my two favorites are the tuna burger on an english muffin or the ahi tuna taco platter. the french dip is good if you like beef--it's more like a steak sandwich than the usual way. they also have one of the best veggie burgers i've had anywhere.

also, be sure to grab a free chocolate chip cookie on your way out. they're soft and chewy with a dusting of kosher salt on the top.

this salad was so healthy. kale and quinoa both are chock full of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and amino acids. the dressing was oily but in a good way. the parmesan added creaminess, flavor, and salt. the flame grapes added color, fruitiness, and sweetness. the shredded kale & quinoa salad was the single best item of the day. i want to return to lgo just for the salad.

we had brunch here this sunday morning, and had the best time! our entrees took an extra few minutes because we were one of the first people there, so the wonderful chef came out to explain, and then proceeded to knock our socks off with his cooking. my husband had the chula quilmes which he said were the best he ever had...spicy and satisfying. i had a really elevated version of a prime rib hash with a perfectly done runny egg that made a wonderful sauce for the flavorful chunks of meat and potato. the chef then brought us an absolutely delightful house made english muffin with a marmalade butter. sooooo good. but that's not all! he brought us out a bowl of cream of mushroom soup based on his mother's recipe. it was our favorite thing so far. he used a light hand with some chipotle to bring out the mushroominess of the mushrooms. it wasn't spicy...just deeper and richer and warmer. i asked him about it and he even shared the recipe. he's obviously an inspired and generous cook. we wish they did brunch everyday because this was our best brunch experience ever...no crowds, really great waiter, comfy, luxurious decor, and deeeeelicious cooking.

this is a great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch. i tried the huevos rancheros. the lemon ricotta pancakes. the dixie land fried chicken. and olive oil poundcake. it was all fantastic. there's a lot more to taste and i must return to do so.

not a breakfast restaurant, they have four egg dishes and they are a poor representation of breakfast.

this place needs work. it has potential to be an "il formaio" type but the menu, quality, and service is below par. overpriced for quality. most recently i went for breakfast and our waitress didn't smile once. weird, hungover, who knows. i have given this place 3 tries, for bfast, lunch, n dinner. . . 3 strikes, i'm out. never go back again. (they need major help with bfast - very bland - cheap maple syrup, like mcdonalds, doughy crepes, and above all - they price their tasteless, heavy english muffins at $8 for 6!!!! ridiculous. the chef, however in the morning is very sweet.
